**Sanctoo Suites and Villas Ubud Review** I recently had the absolute joy of staying at Sanctoo Suites and Villas in Ubud, and let me tell you, it completely blew me away! I stayed in the family aviary, and it was an incredible choice. The suite was absolutely stunning, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding birds and beautifully designed interiors that were even more impressive in person. All staff from the receptionist to the security guards were incredibly warm and welcoming, truly making me feel right at home from the moment I arrived Dewi, the receptionist, truly stood out with her warm and welcoming demeanor. The massage therapists at the spa and wellness retreat provided exceptional service, leaving me feeling rejuvenated and relaxed amidst those immaculate views. Each morning, I indulged in the delicious breakfast buffet, which offered an array of mouthwatering choices, and dinner was just as satisfying—definitely filling! I encountered absolutely no issues during my stay at Sanctoo Suites and Villas. I wholeheartedly give it a 10/10 recommendation for couples, friends and families looking to experience Ubud, especially if you're planning to visit the Bali Zoo, which is just a quick 2-minute walk from reception. I can't wait to return on my next trip to Bali!

The staff were excellent especially Dewi at FO, Dewi in restaurant and Martin in the Wantillan cafe. Access to the Zoo Breakfast was very nice with a varied selection. Wantilan restaurant was nice to eat in and reasonably priced.

The pillows were a bit hard to sleep on, but that is more a personal choice. Cassowary Restaurant prices are a bit pricey for the quality.

Very good customised food as we were vegetarian. Devi, one of the girls at the restaurant was so nice and she catered us with all vegetarian options. Mirah, the girl at the reception was amazingly good and polite

Way out of the city and transportation expensive

I had everything I needed in close proximity. Ground floor pool access room in good distance from restaurant, clean and comfortable

When children and families upstairs, can hear every thump and scream.

Wonderful, comfortable and clean facility! We really enjoyed our stay! It was very convenient to visit Bali Zoo. Highly recommend, we’d love to go back!

beautiful floating breakfast , gorgeous resort and beautiful scenery around the villa , the staff were very friendly and the food was good. you also get free entry to the zoo and 30% activities like elephant riding however it was still $200 for 2 so we didn’t do it they upgraded our room for free , so we were very happy , it’s way better than the photos show

the switch for the shower heads was broken and some of the power outlets didnt work there is also not much food wise around the place

How spacious the villa was.

That the cupboard strip lighting could not be turned off

Breakfast was great, good selection for a smaller hotel. We had the floating dinner served on the a tray in the pool - great for a novelty for the kids.

Breakfast was servied in a building down the hill some distance away from the main resort rooms. This was only due to the restuarant being under construction. The in room menu was limited porbably due ot the restaurant maintenance. Not many restaurant in walking distance but havgn the Zoo on the door step more than made up for it.

pool is absolutely gorgeous. Free zoo entrance a nice touch (you shoudl advertise this more! staff is super lovely

Nothing really!

Obviously the main reason for coming here is to go to the Bali Zoo, it is literally right next door. Outside of that, there really isn’t too much else around the hotel. The rooms were very spacious, clean and comfortable and on-site facilities were also good. The staff were friendly and helpful as well.

The beds and pillows are a little firm for my liking and the sound proofing isn’t great… unfortunately could hear noisy neighbours above throughout the night. Still a comfortable stay 😊

Beautiful Villas and the staff with exceptional.

The location is beautiful but was not convenient to getting around - with very few restaurants to choose from. It would have been passable with location had they offered a shuttle bus to and from Ubud as being charged $20 Australian one way was very expensive compared to other resorts. The restaurant food was also below par for what the resort was charging.

- location is pretty good - jungle view with morning birds’ songs - size of pool is good enough - villa privacy - spacious bathroom - panoramic windows with clear glass - very friendly staff - very professional stuff in SPA - very good location of SPA - sauna

- old and damaged stuff, everything need renovation - dirty, “yellow”, stinky towels, bed linen, gowns - unaffordable smells from all textiles - wet pillows - mattresses on deck chairs beside the pool full of rain water with mold and ants’ nestles under it - dirty coffee cups and plates, no coffee machine which supposed to be in villa and mentioned in booking - pool needs clean from mold - lack of food in breakfast, some food finished before end of breakfast time (no refill), poor variety, edible but not delicious - dinner prices unfair, some positions unavailable - half of electrical switches doesn’t work - all surfaces: floors, tables, etc with a sticky grey settling - windows don’t close tightly, certainly plenty insects and lizards inside the villa Definitely it’s 3* stars resort not 5*. It was our 2nd visit. 6 years ago Sanctoo truly was luxurious place with crystal clean villas, perfect facilities, super nice minibar, fluffy fresh towels, etc. Unfortunately right now Sanctoo is a miserable failed place which seems can’t recover after the lockdown.

Can be improve: . Variety menus for breakfast . In the bathroom, need more hanger for clothes/ towels + amenities like bubble bath/ bath boom (kids would love it) . Entrace way to the hotel. When I was there, the entrace (road) in front of hotel were packed with sack of sands
