Aswanaya Villas Ubud

The accommodation was very clean. The staff was very friendly. There was a nice pool.

Unfortunately, the communication was difficult about vegan/vegetarian food for breakfast and dinner. We felt they didn't really know what vegan means...

Everything from start to finish at this property was exceptional. The staff were extremely polite, friendly, helpful and attentive. We booked a room with a private pool and it was stunning! The facilities were clean and well maintained. The bed was very comfortable. We also used the hotels laundry service and it was very reasonably priced and quick. The Milkshakes were out of this world! Would and will definitely stay here again and would recommend to anyone.

There isn’t anything we didn’t like.

Almost everything. Especially the staffs are excellent!

The rooms smelled moldy which I needed to take anti-histamine because I am allergic but my room was clean; just a rainy weather was a culprit.

All the staffs are very nice and cooperative. A beautiful place to stay but some of our rooms smelled moldy, although the rooms were impeccably clean.

Restaurant foods were somehow not so good.

The villa was in a quiet area, but it was easy to reach the centre. The room was clean and well equipped. The pool was suitable for relaxing and unwinding. The breakfast was wonderful, the staff very kind and attentive. We are very satisfied and if we are in Ubud we will book here again.

Very quiet, nice pool. Can hear road at night but not too bad. Staff lovely. Massages very reasonably priced. Food ok but could offer a bit more to be honest but there’s a lot in Ubud as an alternative.

A lovely hotel set amongst a rice field. Very tranquil and authentic! Great spot for a relaxing stay. Also very peaceful by the swimming pool.

The surrounding area is quite inaccessible by foot and you have to get taxis to good restaurants as there aren’t any locally.

Absolutely everything about Ashawaya was amazing! Diah & Yoda provided true 5-star customer service, from effortlessly booking our tours to seamless pick-ups from the ferry/airport. Every detail is well-thought-out, ensuring a beautiful and truly relaxing stay. Do note, it's a bit of a distance from Ubud downtown, but perfect if you're looking for peaceful seclusion. Highly recommend!

If I had to pick one, I can say location from ubud city

The villa, the pool, the spacious room, the incredible staff, the amazing care of the garden, the location. The hotel is located near downtown Ubud but far from the chaos.

The food could be a little bit better, the bathrooms of the villas were not the greatest choice to keep insects away (but they were ok).

A little paradise on earth! Beautiful lush, tropical plants, pristine pools, quiet, and secluded with nature sounds all around.

I loved everything.

Honestly one of the best places I ve stayed at ever. Staff are so kind and welcoming, we arrived early and they facilitated early check in. The villa is gorgeous, fully private and it’s worth the price. Loved our stay here and would highly recommend it. Good vegetarian options and can rent scooter/arrange activities from staff at reception.

Amazing two bed villa with a private pool, very friendly staff. They organised a floating breakfast for us, we’re always present at the reception 24/7 and answered all our questions . Highly recommend coming here. The spa was amazing as well, in the lovely serene atmosphere.

We loved everything! great location, super quiet and the breakfast was generous.

We thought it would be a bit more isolated from the bustle and hustle of the main road, but that was not an issue at all.

Our accommodation was nice but overpriced we thought. It was traditional Balinese villa. It was large and clean, but it had an outdoor bathroom with big pebbles all over the floors with stepping stones in between. I do not like this sort of finish as it is not clean. There is no way to clean pebbles impregnated with urine and soap scum etc. The bed was a little harder than I like and the floor vibrates as you walk around as it is elevated and wooden. I found a Huntsman spider on the toilet floor after nearly standing on it. I called reception and somebody came with a can of spray. I told him no way was he killing it. It just needed to be rehomed to outside. I ended up scooping him up into a glass and the man from reception promised me he would not kill it when he took it outside. He actually left the spray behind to convince me that he would not kill it. The pool sat in the middle of the lawn between the villas. This was our second night in Bali and the first night was in a nice well-appointed hotel so it was a bit of a let down compared to that and was of a similar price. The setting is nice, staff friendly, and ok if you do not mind being out of town a little and have to fight the traffic sometimes. The breakfast was nice and it was in a lovely and quiet setting. Ubud is not the Ubud I remember at all. It is touristy, overrun with tourists, too busy, difficult parking so you end up missing places.

Overpriced for what it offered Took 2 hours to drive into Ubud from here. Did not like the stoney floor bathroom. Wooden noisy floors. Pool not very private.

The villa was unique and really made you feel you were experiencing traditional Bali. The private pool was picturesque and we had full enjoyment of it. We had all our meals there and felt very pampered by the staff who were without exception wonderful and catered for our every whim. We were able to arrange transport to anywhere we wanted to go at a very reasonable price. Altogether a wonderful week and we hope that we can revisit sometime.

Open garden with bungalows overlooking garden and a nice sunny pool. Very quiet as the property has rice paddy all around. Very nice staff. Good big car park.

Everything was good.

My second stay at the property, definitely tranquil and value for money. The staff were very helpful and did their best to assist with unusual requests. It is a bit out of Ubud centre, however, having a scooter takes you about 10mins and the drive is welcomed in the humid air😀

My appliance plugs were not supported and I had to specifically buy input plugs for the establishment, but, this is not a Aswanaya problem it’s a me problem as South African plug points are ether special.

The room was a little dark and lights not enough in the evening. There are gekkos and other animals that might keep you up at night.

The whole team of Aswanaya villa is exceptional .

Very clean and comfortable. You have your own private villa. Very well recommended. They have a small massage area too.

Had a short circuit very early in the morning and it was just rectified at around 8 because the maintenance is not 24/7.

The hotel is beautiful and looks better than in the pictures. Everything is very clean both inside and out. The staff is very welcoming and every time they see you they want to help you with something if needed.

I'm sorry that there are minuses in this hotel, but I'm going to tell them first of all for the owner to fix them because it has a great location. 1.breakfast is made very cheap, there is no music in the breakfast area and the whole time I was there I could hear the women in the kitchen talking incessantly plus the construction next door. 🙏🙏 The taste of the breakfast products must be international and please change the coffee🙏 I suggest you upgrade the room by five euros and have a quality breakfast because me and my friends couldn't wait to eat and have that gorgeous view 2. The water in the pool is not clear 3. If you are afraid of lizards that can reach you when you are sleeping, you have nothing to do in this location, I did it😅

The staff was very kind, every single person that I've met, always smiling, kind and happy to help you. Breakfast very good and copious. My bungalow has a beautiful view. The room service was very fast. The room was very clean and nice. Maybe the food in the restaurant is a little expensive to me. But the hotel is beautiful, swimming pool, rooms and garden very well maintained.
