I highly recommend this hotel. The staff are so friendly, Suzanne in particular who greeted us every morning and evening and made us feel so special. Pet friendly, they love a dog and it’s seconds away from the harbour, let’s also not forget the food-utterly amazing. Thank you ☺️
There is nothing bad to say except they had run out of full lobsters! We had to make do with a lobster tail instead!!

The food in the restaurant was first class. The Seafood Platter was spectacular as was the quality of the meat. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and the place was very dog friendly. The village itself is wonderful. The hotel is a stone's throw from the sea. Very picturesque, as was South Ronaldsay and the Orkneys in general. There are many outstanding historical and cultural sites to visit very close by.
The only criticism, but it's not something that can be changed, but something to maybe take into account for other visitors, is that the room we were in was quite small for two people.

Absolutely great 3day stay here - cosy comfortable & clean room in a great location- Suzanne the manager is a wonderful host and the meals are superb- seafood heaven! Breakfast was great too! St Margaret’s Hope is a handy location to land and then explore what Orkney has on offer - so much to see!

Seafood restaurant was excellent
Bedroom was very small and even slightly claustrophobic. Nowhere to put any clothes, no drawers or wardrobe.
