Extremely hot water and a mixing system inadequate. Toilet seat minus the holder on one side making it unsafe for sitting. The entire building is experiencing serious deferred maintenance. Once was a proud part of Stromness is looking less so. However, your staff was excellent as was the food.

Great location and excellent staff.
The hotel needed completely updating. There was no lift(although I understand one is going to be installed over the winter)
The window in my bedroom didn’t close.
Decor was shabby and the building needed rather a lot of repairs.
The food was plentiful and very tasty, but it would have been better to have a smaller menu with daily specials as having the same huge menu every day, makes it rather boring! And one suspects much was frozen or ready meals, although I was assured the chef prepared at least some of the dishes himself!
It really would benefit from selling alcohol!

Good location, pleasant and helpful staff
Room layout was not good, didn’t like the fact that the bedside light was in the middle and only one light.
Breakfast was quite poor, scrambled eggs were grey and unappealing, the granola was soft
