Außergewöhnlich: Ein klassisches Chalet, also eine typische Holzvilla der suisse romande in optimaler Stadtlage: 100m von der U-Bahn-Station Jordils, 300 m vom Ufer des Genfer Sees auf Höhe des zentralen Schiffsanlegers, 600 m vom Hbf, 1000m vom Place Palud in der Innenstadt.
Das alte Gebäude ist sehr liebevoll mit Kunstobjekten eingerichtet.
Die privaten Gastgeber sind sehr hilfsbereit und serviceorientiert und lindern die Einschränkungen, die die Holzbauweise des vermutlich unter Denkmalschutz stehenden Chalets mit sich bringt: Isolierung gegen Hitze/Kälte, Straßenlärm, Straßenschuhverbot auf dem Holzfußboden.
Zahlung im Voraus über einen externen, per email übermittelten Link. Drohung mit Stornierung, als nach 24h noch kein Zahlungseingang verbucht war. Ich hatte bis zum Anreisetag befürchtet, auf ein Fake-Profil hereingefallen zu sein.
