OK for a few days, but be careful about the communication

Quiet environment (as for the noises from outside).

First, it's the communication, which was very difficult, as the people see their messages once per day... Second, the breakfast is too basic, third the internal sounds, fourth a need for renovation/fixing some parts of the structure.

Ok for overnight stay in Ghent

Good B&B for an overnight stay in Ghent. The location is a bit far from the center, but walkable. The district looks safe, but quite dark during the night. There is a possibility of self-check-in. There is another B&B and cafe from this company very close to Ghent main attractions (Vlaanderenstraat 2/4), where one can leave the luggage before check-in (I wish we knew that when arrived to Ghent) and after check-out. Room was quite warm, although not all the radiators worked well. Bathroom is ok, and there is also a common area with TV and board games. The staff was friendly.

Breakfast was very basic, did not meet the expectations and did not match the price difference with similar accommodations which are not offering the breakfast. When we visited Faja lobi B&B on Vlaanderenstraat 2/4, their breakfast looked much better, so consider booking a room there. It was also not clear in the booking instructions that the luggage can be left in that central B&B and cafe before check-in. We really missed that.

Super cosy stay in Ghent

Super cosy, the room was spacious, bright and confortable. The area (tarbotstraat) is residential and quiet which is perfect for a good night of rest and the walk to the city center is quite nice along the canal. Staff was welcoming, the breakfast good I wish I had stayed a little longer to enjoy breakfast in the cosy garden area.

The ventilation in the bathroom a bit noisy and randomly turned on when I wanted to sleep. But only for 15 minutes, then all good.

Lovely & calm place to stay in Ghent - a bit far from the centre but managable.

I had the room in attick, which was quite spacious and cute in design. Staff was lovely, breakfast was home-made.

This branch of Faja lobi is a bit far from Ghent city centre. They have a more central branch. I recommend checking carefully which one you are booking.

Disappointed in the lack of concern over the very strong smell of sewer in our allotted room.

Breakfast was nicely done.

A better understanding of the discomfort the sewer smell in our room caused me. This also caused us to cut our stay short by 1 night.

The room was spacious. Tea and coffee provided. Rooms clean and comfortable. Garden View was lovely. Breakfast was a good selection and very good coffee. Staff friendly and very helpful.

Nice and cosy

We really liked our stay. The woman that served us was really kind and she let us leave our luggage at the B&B after the check-out. The breakfast was incredible. Really clean and spacious room and bathroom. To say something not as positive, the guest house is far from the train station, but the connection is quite nice. As it is a really walkable city, walking to the city centre is no problem. We would repeat for sure!!!

1. I loved the location and the room is big. The B&B around Kasteellan that i previously stayed was not so comfortable because the room or bed shakes every time a car passes in front of the building, so it was great that i didnt experience that here. 2. The room is very cozy.

1. Breakfast was supposed to be available starting at 8am only, and my work at the office should be at 8am too, so i need to eat fast. But then not everything for breakfast is available yet at 8am, so apart from hurrying to eat, you can only have limited options yet. 2. The room has this smell of old woods when you had just entered the room. It had odd smell also from the bathroom. 3. No shampoo and/or conditioner, only very little amount of left over liquid soap was available.

Bathroom was fine, but it was separate. Kettle in room, but not normal tea or coffee! Location had good and bad points..residential area 20 or 25 minutes walk from centre, long way from St Pieters station but there were buses/trams reasonably close.

We absolutely loved our stay at Faja Lobi. We stayed in a spacious room with a nice newly renovated bathroom. It was very calm with no street noise without being far from the city center (about 15 min walk). Maja is an excellent host with super interesting stories to tell and the breakfast she prepared was perfectly splendid. Learning about the Faja Lobi Project in Congo and planting two trees with our stay here is a big bonus too.

After hour checking is decent. The staffs are excellent, outstanding service. There is free laundry service if required.

The building is quite old, the floor creaks when you walk. It should have more light and privacy. Stairs are narrow and steep. Our toilet (room 2) doesn't have a lock.

Good location. The room and the bathroom were clean and big.

No one was there when I arrived at the hotel. I found my key on the kitchen table with a note. I checked out a bit early in the morning at 7.00 but no personnel was at the hotel at that time. I waited for someone to come because they do not accept payments by car but only cash which I think is a very weird rule.

First impressions excellent; but they didn't last. Natalie very helpful.

Room was very noisy, mostly caused by other guests. At times it was like there was no soundproofing between rooms and floor. Some things you don't want to hear! Lots of creaking floorboards, even on staircase! Favourable first impressions didn't last! Breakfast generally good, but never ready on time. Its a long way from the centre of Ghent! I had to walk approx 1.5kms to pay for my stay, as I could only pay at the B&B with cash. Expensive for what it was and its location.
