The friendliness of the host, the availability of a communal kitchen and food. Quiet, secure location, 15 to 20 minutes walk into town.
The balcony needed a bit of TLC.

Wir wurden ungewõhnlich individuell und persönlich betreut, so dass wir uns rundum wohl fühlten. Bei Gelegenheit werden wir gerne wieder dort buchen

We did a very last minute booking with Au jardin while driving back to Germany. No problems with that! Everything went smoothly and Youssef was extremely kind and helpful. Location is around 10-15min walk from the Solothurn centre in s quiet neighbourhood. We had the whole upstairs to ourselves, which was a pleasant surprise. We asked for an extra sheet and got 5 different blanket options, excellent service! :)
Nothing to complain really. Obviously if you want to be in the Solothurn centre, this is a bit further away. No AC.
