Good value for the money

We had what we needed, the room was okay. Good value for the price.

It’s not quite the flawless look you see in the pictures although to be fair, that seems to be the case in many places around Bali. No shampoo provided, only hand soap so make sure to bring your own.

Beautiful and relaxing stay in Ubud

I think the homestay was in a great location in Ubud, staff were super friendly even with the language barrier.

The only annoying thing was that taxi's couldnt fit up the street to drop people and luggage off. You have to walk up from a nearby main street (its barely 3 minutes).

Pleasant, peaceful and clean place for stay!

Very peaceful place, sounds of birds and roosters around, close to many things and Yoga Barn. Clean and bright rooms. Good water pressure at first floor, always hot water. I would come again here!

I stayed upstairs in the room 204 and wifi was weak. Downstairs is fast.

Perfection! I will come back

I love this place. It’s perfect in all senses. Beautiful view from balcony and amazing staying in so close to local family. Room is comfortable and that was the best bed from all places I stay in the whole trip!! I will definitely come back.

The staff looked after me so well, and the internet was great, so I was able to work remotely.

The breakfast was sustaining, and because I had problems climbing the stairs to the kitchen where it is normally served, the staff served it to me downstairs.

I am not great with stairs, and didn't realise that there were a few levels to the homestay when I booked. Fortunately I lucked out and was in a room that was pretty accessible.

1) Affordable 2) Pretty room 3) Has connecting balcony 4) View is superb; not surprise cause in BALI 5) Host cater special Muslim dish for us! 6) Host very helpful (We forgot to inform very late check in (1am ish) but they still accept 7) Host live in the same area/ gate (iyk how Bali house system) 8) Host help us bring our heavy luggage to upper floor (Really appreciate it, cause at 1am we already super tired) 9) Very cheap breakfast (Fruits served were very sweet and yummy, & we like eating maggie goreng with eggs!) 10) Toilet okay. 11) View from breakfast area is very pretty!

1) Location wise- need to go through narrow walls. Only 1 car can fit & our supir struggling too. (Might be he’s not skilful? Not sure. However, alternatively, just drop at the junction and walk uphill to homestay, Just bear in minds, we are not active Malays so might be because we are not fit haha) 2) Dog- We don’t really mind when the dog roaming in the area/ near our room/ in the free area, but we felt bit comfortable during breakfast. Because we are muslim, we don’t want to purify ourselves during vacation; due to their saliva. But the host, actively prevent the dog from coming to us but still- (oh the dog is gentle, i think they just want to play)

I had the most amazing stay in this place. The place calm yet so close to the main road.

Right from the aesthetics to the comfort and the warmth. I loved my stay here. The hosts were so warm and kind and I loved the huge kitchen and Lucy, the in house pet

I don't have much to dislike. It's a value for money. The only thing can be the narrow lane which might be a problem if you are using a huge car.

I’d choose an upstairs room if I stay here again.

The water pressure in the shower is great, and I really liked the dining and kitchen area.

The rooms on the ground floor where I stayed felt a bit damp, and there was some mold in the corners, probably due to the weather, but it made it a little hard to feel fully comfortable.

Cozy place

For a solo traveler, the place was perfect. I stayed the whole month. I felt safe and comfortable. I liked the simple design of the room, the balcony, and especially the views. In my free time, I enjoyed watching the daily life of the locals. The kitchen area is also good, and the bed is comfortable. It would be great to have a shelf in the bathroom. The stuff is lovely 🤍 Location is farther away from the main street, more quiet. Perfect if you are planning to visit yoga barn.

The location is very near the market, also the availability of bikes is also nearby, The owner always helps on call. The kitchen is especially accessible 24 hrs, indian people please carry rice and material because local indonecian food you never like.

Beautiful homestay

I love this homestay so much. The location is perfect, in a quiet small road. The Deluxe room is beautiful with a nice decoration. It's very clean. The staff is so nice. I extended my stay twice and I'll go back there for sure when I'll be back in Ubud. Wifi worked perfectly.

It would be nice to have transparent and thin curtains in addition to big curtains, to have more privacy and let the light pass through. I would also appreciate more storage solutions in the bathroom. But everything was perfect !!

Staying at Made Arsa

Location, it's fairly close to the major centres in Ubud, but also far enought to escape the noise and chaos of the city. The facilities and hosts are super helpful in proving a very homely stay here.

The only disturbance we had was sometimes there were construction noises around us. But this was only for a couple of days.

Overall a great location and budget stay

Courteous staff members and clean rooms, cosy stay. Breakfast was arranged earlier while booking for a price which was a good thing to do as we were all vegetarians. Walking through the fields was a bit tiring for us oldies, but we got used to it in no time.

This was an awesome place to stay. It’s walking distance to everything but also just outside of the hustle and bustle / traffic of town. The family running the place were so lovely and welcoming. Great value!

A great place to stay on a budget. Friendly staff and great kitchen to prepare your own meals.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. It's a family-owned homestay and it has a feeling of staying with friends. I like that the two community kitchens had been updated and were kept clean by the staff. I highly recommend the scooter rentals they're very reasonable and they have good scooters. The family is amazing and the main reason I continue to return. They feel like family. Its a small compound and everyone staying there always seems to connect like family.

I didn't know there was ongoing construction. It would have been nice to know beforehand. I think people who are working remotely should be advised to have their calls on earphones (a lot going on when several people were having loud work calls). I would recommend a designated smoking area away from rooms so non-smokers don't have to smell secondhand cigarette smoke. I love the host family and have visited many times over the years. However, the rooms are long overdue for updating, I think the place would do really well if they invested a little money into updating the rooms and bathrooms. I do miss that they no longer provide breakfast.

location is not the best. room wasn’t cleaned properly. ac wasn’t cooling properly and it was VERY dirty. It gets very noisy after 8am because of the common outside kitchen next to the room. We were meant to pay when we were checking - out but someone knocked on our door and woke us up at 08:20 asking for the payment, told them we will pay when we leaving. They said ok and left. Didn’t even apologize or anything. Price is good but we stayed in much better and cheaper homestays in Ubud. Not recommended.

Lovely accommodation in a homestay. Very clean, good WiFi. The atmosphere was really good, relaxed and cosy. They even had a cute puppy! The owners (family) are truly very welcoming and kind. The location is good, not that crowded with some warungs around. We would definitely come back when we are in Ubud again.

My room was not really fully furnished, my friend's room was a bit better. Staffs are helpful and speak good English. In a quiet area not too far from Ubud center (around 40-50k by Grab car). Price was really competitive tho so can't ask for more.

Nice family in local street

- very helpful boss who is the father of the family living there. Always being helpful if you need help without hesitation - nice house with flowers trees in the garden (but ants) - hot water, wifi and air conditioner working well - good price but you need to take the good rooms and not the ones isolates in a little house.

- Many ants in the rooms. The boss made me change for a better room and that was nice. But ants also in the kitchen and everywhere, even in the breakfast sometimes - location a little far away from center line 20 to 30 min walking but no problem if you have a bike. Actually located in a street with real locals and not touristic

Yatak konforu iyi değildi yataklar çok eski. 8 gece konakladık. Çarşaf ve havlular hiç değiştirilmedi. Oda hiç temizlenmedi. Tüm bunları kendimiz yaptık.
