The breakfast lacked imagination Vegetarians don’t just eat vegetables I had vegetables raw, boiled, & broiled at breakfast & dinner. Very disappointing

We really loved this place. The traditional rooms gave us an authentic Japanese experience, while still having everything we needed for a comfortable stay. There is a private outdoor onsen that we absolutely enjoyed, as well as a private indoor onsen, which was also very nice to have. It made our stay even more special and relaxing. The hotel’s location is excellent, with easy access to the town’s main street. We also had dinner and breakfast at the hotel, and both were absolutely delicious. Everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful. We truly had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend it.

Great location, great staff. They shuttle you to/from the train station and the snow monkeys. Tip: go see the snow monkeys as early as possible to avoid larger crowds.
Be warned that lunch options are limited in Shibu Onsen. For the places that are open for lunch, make sure you have some cash because some don’t take credit cards.
