The whole experience was amazing. If you are looking for an authentic Japanese style experience you absolutely have to go here! The staff is super friendly and accomodating, the food is superb, the room is magical with the garden view and the private onsen time is just lovely.

Abendessen und Frühstück (beides natürlich komplett japanisch) waren herausragend. Dabei ist hilfreich zu wissen, dass für die beiden Mahlzeiten zwei verschiedene Örtlichkeiten genutzt werden, da der kleine Ryokan Kamei no Yu (wo ja übernachtet wird) mit dem benachbarten, weitaus größeren Ryokan Yoroduya kooperiert. Dort gibt es das Abendessen. Bei den Gemeinschaftsbädern ist es so, dass man sie in beiden Häusern benutzen kann, wobei das im größeren Yoroduya unbedingt zu empfehlen ist. Es gehört wohl zu den 10 schönsten Bädern in ganz Japan. Ich denke mit Recht!

Authentic ryocan with lovely attentive staff. Incredible dinners and breakfast! Love the gardens and private onsen experience.
The beds are not particularly comfortable and the pillows are very hard. But maybe it depends on what you are used to…
