Very traditional but with all modern touches. Lovely staff and Michelin star quality restaurant. Beautiful private onsen facilities
Slightly basic bathrooms but all clean

Good food experience. Enjoyed a range of traditional dishes.
So overpriced, beyond reasonable expectations. The tourist industry here in old town Shibu Onsen has had a huge impact on the cost of reasonable accommodation in general. Perhaps don’t book earlier and wait for the accomodation to come back down the week before heading here.
