Great family-run hotel in Sölden

Lovely, family-run hotel. Perfect room with fully equipped kitchen, great shower. No breakfast service during winter season but fresh bread is delivered each morning. Ski slopes are just a 10 min walk, the free bus to the gondola leaves at the front of the hotel and yes, you can ski to the door if there is enough snow. Down town Solden is 10 min walk (steep but this is Austria), we had lovely dinners (check restaurant Alpina) with a nice climb to burn off the calories. We warmly recommend Haus Fridolin and will return.

Accommodation was adequate for what we needed, but nothing special

The property was clean, well presented and in general well equipped, including a modern ski room. Sölden is a great town and is accessible from the property on foot. We felt overall the property was spacious, and were grateful that we were able to book Sunday to Sunday (unusual for a ski resort)

The property was labelled as ski in, ski out, however this was not the case as required walking both to and from the accommodation. The kitchen was also small and did not have an oven, which would have been useful. Payment was difficult as we couldn’t do through booking.com which nearly stopped us from booking. Staff were reasonably polite, however there were a couple of incidents where we felt they were rude.

Lovely apartment and friendly owners.

The room was small but perfectly formed, with a fabulous bathroom and shower and a well appointed kitchen with new or nearly new appliances. The owners were very friendly and helpful.

Nothing. The location is a little out of town, which has advantages and disadvantages. By storing our skis and boots at a local shop it was easy to access the slopes.

Very friendly host. The appartement was spacious and clean. Possibility to have bread delivered in the morning was also a big plus. There is a storage room for ski and snowboard

The pillows on the bed were to soft (it felt like you were not sleeping on a pillow at all). There was no hand soap in the bathroom.

Wir hatten ein Appartement im Soutterrain. Das hatte natürlich keinen schönen Blick und war etwas einsichtig.
