Great staff. Couldn't help enough Dog friendly Open fire

Old tired rooms, leaking taps, flooring issues due to age and wear. Breakfast was served with margarine rather than butter, eggs cooked in margarine too which overpowered the flavour Bathroom in our room had leaking tap and rotten floor as well as damaged bath panel.

Good food and a welcoming atmosphere

No real ale, they used to have a good choice but the availability of only lagers and ice cold bottled beer was very disappointing

Great place, good food very helpful accommodating staff. Will definitely return. The room was clean and facilities good. Lots of choices on drinks and food.

Staff were excellent, breakfast was 10 out of 10!!! Literally a perfect breakfast. All 4 staff we met, two behind the bar, dealing with the golf doo, and really friendly to my partner and I. The lady who took our breakfast order and staff behind bar today, were just brilliant! We will be back

The hotel like so many these days is tired, but don't let that put you off. Support these people, who have it right in the right areas. Billy the dj was so brilliant too xxx

The burgers we had for a meal in the evening were very nice. The staff were friendly and helpful.

It was very chilly! The only warm spot in the bar was in front of the fire? But everyone wanted to sit there?? The rest of the pub was cold!

Breakfast was lovely and the qwerkiness of the hotel was lovely. The staff were very helpful and polite.

Rooms need updating and new mattresses are definitely required.

Lady upon arrival was very friendly and welcoming

Heating in room turns off at night so was cold, I was above the bar and dogs barking until late. In the morning the van next to me was the same one I parked next to so I know it had not moved and there was dog poo next to my driver car door which I stood in, meaning the dogs last night in the bar must habe been allowed to roam outside and toilet whereverthey like no one picking it up (customer issue i know, but still not impressed), I was told breakfast 0730 to 10am, there is even a time of this written in the room. I mentioned id prob be more 0900 than 0730, I got to breakfast at 0835, its all locked up, I went to hand key in, a guy sat there saying lady opening is late, she always late apparently, I said I was told 0730 it opened, but they had a message from owner/mamager saying there is a guy staying and wanting breakfast at 0900.... I didnt know I was only person staying here and that I was booking my time slot, I had to leave as 0845 still not arrived, I went to the Red lion and bought breakfast there instead (even though breakfast was included in price of room) once i had cleaned my shoes... overall it was not a great experience. Only good experience was the lady that checked me in
