Very pleasant stay, would definately use again and recommend to friends

Excellent breakfast. Hosts very friendly and nothing was to much trouble. Location is great, quiet area and just a fifteen minute walk to the sea front. Free parking on site too.

Great nook for a weekend getaway

It's great for a long weekend. The hosts were very nice. You can select the breakfast options the day before and they will prepare it right when you get downstairs. The room was nice with an okay bed and smart TV. The bathroom was nice too with a big window and little toiletries. The beach is in a 10-15 mins walk and there are shops and pubs around the house.

Friendly and welcoming with all you need.

First of all, the owners - Gary and Jackie were wonderful hosts. The room was a tad small but more than adequate. The en-suite was fine although the shower was not very powerful, hence, showering took longer. Breakfasts were excellent! The location was perfect for us, because we were there for a party in the road just opposite. A ten minute brisk walk or a 20 minute saunter would find you on the sea front. All in all, very good!

As a smoker, I accept that I am a social outcast. However, having to go off the premises to have my smoke was a tad over the top. Sat on the wall out the front, having a puff and a cuppa did have it's bonuses. Quite a few early birds would stop for a chat. Weymouth residents are a friendly bunch!

A really enjoyable stay and the hosts Jackie and Gary made it even better so thank you to both of them.

The rosefield gust house is in a good location only 5/10 mins walk away from the beach front, and our hosts Jackie and Gary were fantastic, such a lovely couple, great personalities, and so welcoming. The breakfast was superb, quality ingredients and made fresh for you in the morning. I would go back to the rosefield the next time I return to Weymouth 100%.

Clean, welcoming, convenient, lovely hosts.

Jackie and Nigel were very welcoming and went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. Everything was clean and tidy. We had to leave too early each day for breakfast so our hosts kindly made up a packed breakfast to take with us.

The room faced a busy road and as the temperature was very warm, we needed to keep the windows wide open which meant the traffic noise was loud. In cooler weather this shouldn't be a problem.

A disappointing weekend away

The breakfast was good

We looked at the property on Booking.com and it offered us a choice of 3 rooms at different prices. We saw that the most expensive room had a king size bed, so decided to pay the extra price for that. Our booking confirmation also said we had a king size bed in the room. When we got to the hotel and were shown our room, we realised that it only had an ordinary double bed. When we took this up with the owners, they said that was the room we had booked. The description of the room was "a large room" - hence the extra cost. However, the room only just had room for the ordinary bed and had no cupboard or drawers for clothes (it did have a clothes rail). We took this up with the owner and suggested a possible reduction in cost, but they insisted it wasn't their problem and that I should take it up with Booking.com. They showed us the communication they received from Booking.com, which didn't mention a king size bed. Another issue was that although there was an "en suite", the wash basin was in the main room rather than the room with the toilet and shower and there were no toiletries in the shower. When we asked, we were given some shampoo and conditioner, but no shower gel. Gary was all for making peace, but Jackie insisted it was our fault and wouldn't back down. She also became quite unpleasant. I would strongly suggest that you avoid this property. Booking.com and the owners need to align their descriptions of this property so that other people don’t have a similar problem.

Didappointing

Nice breakfast, comfy bed, no stairs to climb, friendly hosts and very clean.

This was advertised as a 4 star hotel, it is in fact a guest house(get your facts correct booking. Com) No garden, no lounge or common area, no bar. No shelf in bathroom and shower cubicle, no toiletries supplied(we used hand-wash) No shaving point, water in shower was scalding hot, had to run it (what a waste) for ages to be able to stand it. The property is not 5 minutes to the beach, More like 15 at a steady pace. We won't be going back

Our hosts were really lovely and the breakfast every morning was amazing. The hotel is in the perfect location and has parking which is an added bonus 😀 We will definitely be staying again!

Central, free parking, great food and incredible hosts, what else could you ask for?

The hosts were incredible! I felt like at home. They were very accomodating and helpful. Couldn't ask for more. The room was very quiet and the bed was very comfy. The WiFi worked well and we had yummy breakfast each morning, really pleased.

Some of the fabrics and furniture in our room smelled a bit damp. It wasn't jarring in anyway but if I would come close to it, for example, to open the window or pick something up from the floor, you can tell there is a bit of a smell. Might be worth replacing them!

Lovely hosts,couldn’t do enough for us,highly recommend.

Breakfast was the best I have had when staying in a B&B,bacon was nice and thick with no fat,sausage was proper meat,cooked fresh,you just can’t beat it.Would highly recommend,PS,even after checking out, I was allowed to leave my car in the car park,allowing me to spend the day in Weymouth,you just can’t ask for more than that.

If anything,i prefer a thin quilt in the summer,but that’s just my preference,please don’t take this as criticism.

Good breakfast. Parking

Booked a week but only stopped 2 nights. Room was old fashioned and small. Could not see out of the windows due to stick on screening. Bed was terrible, old with a topper on. Didn't sleep. Road noise. Picture showed lovely garden but couldn't use it without special permission. Apparently for the dogs! Glad to get home but lost 5 days money.

The owners were very polite

The room was no way near deluxe it was very tired and dated, the cleanliness was not good there was mould in the bathroom, dust in the bedroom and the carpet was very worn. It looked very tatty and looking out of the window straight into a wall. I was shocked at the doom and the price charged

Good

The owners of the guest house, Bob and Linda are very friendly and welcoming. Linda's breakfasts are awesome and presented so well and always hot and tasty. They always ensure their guests have everything they need, and are a mine of local information. The customer service and quality breakfast outweigh the somewhat dated feel of the guest rooms. If the rooms/beds and shower system were modernised, the Rosefield would be perfect!! We have stayed at the Rosefield more than once.

The Rosefield guest rooms are in need of modernisation. The rooms that we've stayed in have a dated feel. The beds/mattresses/duvets require updating as it all feels like they've been in use for a long time. The showers are the electric Triton type and react to the constant pressure changes in the system. This causes the shower to either run extremely hot or cold during peak times, eg 7am to 8:30am when guests are showering before going down to breakfast. The guest house would benefit from an upgraded shower system which can run efficiently at times of peak usage. There is a risk of scalding if a young child or elderly guest were to be unable to avoid the intermittent very high water temperature when standing under the shower.

Lovely and homely

Easy to find, good parking facilities. Close to beach and shops. Hosts were friendly and provided a lovely breakfast. Room was clean and bed was comfy.
