Asgard Guest House

The staff at Asgard were incredible! They messaged ahead of my reservation to inquire about my arrival time and arranged to have my room ready early, which was such a welcome surprise after a red eye flight. They offered great recommendations for things to do around Galway. We left a jacket in our room and they messaged us within 15 minutes of checkout to let us know they had it waiting for us to pick up. The room was comfortable and well stocked with essentials, perfect for a short stay, but would have felt a little cramped for a longer stay. The location was perfect - less than a 10 minute walk to the city center but just far enough away from the main area to be quiet, allowing for a restful night's sleep. I would gladly stay again!

The only thing missing from the room that would've been nice to have was an iron or clothing steamer.

The staff were responsive and the view was beautiful. We appreciated being able to open the windows to get a good breeze into the room.

The review is for a similar B&B that we ended up staying at. This is because we received a message the day before we were set to arrive saying that our confirmed booking at Asgard was unable to happen because of unforeseen circumstances. The staff at Asgard did go out of their way to pre-book us at another B&B in the area, however, this was all done without us knowing first. The location was a bit further than we wanted to be, but the check-in process and the rest of our day was fine.
