Beautiful beach resort with great staff

I had the beach front bungalow (room 401) and it was lovely. Very clean, spacious, the bed was super comfortable. The room had a beautiful view, really quiet. The hotel is located within a walking distance to local shops and a number of restaurants. The staff was amazing, super helpful, really friendly.

The room I stayed at had a separate area with a bathtub however there were massive gaps between the walls and the roof meaning all types of insects including a huge cockroach were crawling in. The breakfast buffet is very poor. The hotel has a bizarre arrangement with a Russian tour operator where they drop off a boat load of Russian tourists for the afternoon/ evening meaning the pool area gets really busy. The lively reception staff however showed me another quiet pool.

Hard to judge because of low season and no one around. Pool was great. Having a basic gym was good.

A bit old and dated. Even though rooms were comfortable, good size and clean the rest of resort needed upkeep. The long walk back to the main street.

Very nice beach bungalows

Very nice hotel at the beach. At Long Beach you have the most wonderful sunsets. We had a beach bungalow with a very nice ocean view. The room had a lot of Space and was very clean. The pool area was also very nice and there is a massage service. There are some shops and restaurants in walking distance. The walking street is only 10 minutes by taxi.

Restaurant prices are very high.

So many positives. Beach front bungalow was amazing for the view. Staff were friendly, breakfast was better than average.

It was obvious there were not enough staff to clean , garden, pool areas and our room wasn’t cleaned at all in for days. We had to ask for toilet paper and water. We paid $270 aud for Ocean front suite which was amazing for the view but fridge was broken, shower shelf had broken off and generally poor quality.

BAD EXPERIENCE

The pool was great. Great views as it looks out onto the sea.

Arrived after a very long journey. Woman at reception said we hadn’t paid although we had paid and was trying to charge us again. Shown the booking and it was confirmed paid. She then confirmed this with booking.com. She explain hotel was pretty empty and we was shown our room. Rooms dead dark and beds were rock solid hard, not comfy to sleep on at all. The bathroom was very outdated. WI-FI didn’t work for the second day - asked for someone to come check this.. two hours later no one arrived and we had to go back to ask for them to say it’s down in the whole area (you could of come and told us instead of leaving us waiting) Breakfast - you are given some slips things, explained to the woman we couldn’t find them and she advised us to go recheck our room.. explained we have but she refused to issue new tickets.. as we started to walk away she told us she had our tickets and therefore she didn’t give us them. Arrived at breakfast around 9am, not much to offer at all! Everything was stone COLD. No veggie options other than toast or stone cold pancakes. BF tried to have the eggs again stone cold. We decided not to have it the next day (ham and hot dogs and some Thai rice and Thai chicken) - that was all that was there. Location is around 20/25 mins from the bar. Overall the pool was unreal. But we wouldn’t stay here again.

I was eaten alive by bed bugs. This has never happened to me in 15 years of traveling. After realizing what it was on night #2…I packed up and left to a different much better hotel. SO itchy and upsetting, gross. The front desk was not very responsive when I told them what happened. I just wanted out of there. beware of room #520!!!!

Decent hotel, but for families and has hard beds

Good quality hotel, lovely pool straight onto the beach. Poolside massage. Had a Deluxe Bungalow, a comfortable space and worth the upgrade from Superior (bigger, better decor, closer to beach).

The beds were uncomfortably hard. Hotel also advertises a “no reserving sun loungers” policy but, every day, guests were allowed to dump their towels and books, then disappear for hours - one day we saw beds reserved by 8am but still not used by 2pm. There weren’t enough loungers for the demand, so this was frustrating. The hotel should enforce its policy as people place their towels to reserve, but they didn’t, which caused problems. We stayed as a group of travellers, but the hotel is very Tui / package holiday with, predominantly, families staying there.

The rooms and general state of the resort is in much need of serious upgrading. There were quite a few guests requesting new rooms (myself included) and I was happy to pay the early check out fees for 2 rooms but unfortunately could not get a booking elsewhere in Lanta

A perfect place to enjoy sunsets and the sea. The receptionist and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was well equipped. The location of our room was near the beach, a 1 min walk, and you are on the beach. The swimming pool was nice and next to the beach. The views were beautiful. Every day, you get a new scene to enjoy. We stayed for two weeks and were not bored even a single day.

The couch in the room was not comfortable. It was entirely wood with no cushioning. It would be nice if it had some cushions to support the back. TV can use some upgrades. It didn't have any sports channels broadcasting FIFA World Cup. The water pressure in the bathroom could be better.

An excellent value resort, close to the beach with helpful staff and very comfortable beds.

Great value for the money! The location close to the beach was wonderful and the reception staff were very helpful. The rooms were spacious and the bed was very comfortable. There was a free shuttle bus into Saladan which was very useful. It was our second visit and we would certainly stay here again.

There was a good spread at breakfast and although there were plenty of staff around they were very poor at replenishing the supply. They did willingly when you asked them.

Beach front location is phenomenal.

Beach front bungalow with unrivalled views and access to the beach in the whole of Koh Lanta

The live music offering was dated and did not attract us to eat at the restaurant that evening. Traditional Thai music or an acoustic band would bring in a lot more people than Elvis impersonator. Fortunately can easily be avoided and you can't hear it from the room.

Great location on the beach, with surprisingly good resturant on-site. Really friendly staff, especially in the resturant.

Still in need of some renovations, and the luxury bungalows might be worth the extra price as they are bit more up to date and better located towards the sea and closer to pool and restaurant.
