The view was awesome rooms clean and the beaches were great

I still don't know if it was the resorts' fault or Booking .coms but apparently Booking.com hadn't paid for our stay at the resort. After three hours we had to cancel our booking.com "booking" and pay the resort directly after already paying Booking.com the full amount four month prior to our arrival, otherwise we would still be sleeping on the beach. To this minute I have still not been refunded the full amount I paid to Booking.com but the dialog continues. I am very surprised that Booking .com didn't come to our rescue on the evening of the 30 December 2025

Spectacular views

Poor service Low water pressure resulting in issues flushing toilet, using hand basin and shower Had to pay again on arrival as they could not access payment from booking.com - this was not communicated to me prior Hilly property with steep walks to room; not a problem if no mobility issues, but would be an issue for elderly, young children and those with walking problems

Overall good but in the end not so

We had no complaints until check out overall okay but nothing spectacular, was okay to lay head for a few nights and powerful air con.

The water from the shower was dirty thankfully brought a shower filter. When getting back to the hotel on our last night around 11pm we had a letter stuck to our door saying payment from booking.com not received however was paid for and funds had left my bank. Had all the confirmations. Nothing was mentioned at check in. In the morning when we checked out they said that we needed to get in contact with booking.com for them to process the payment which had already left my bank in August!!! They then proceeded to say that we needed to pay more money and cancel our booking to which we declined and can’t do anyway because we had already stayed. Overall staff are incompetent rude and don’t understand basic hospitality. They wanted to take computes of our credit cards to charge and then get a refund back from booking.com. This just ruined our whole experience of the phi phi islands. The whole thing seemed like a scam as never before have I encountered having to pay twice when going through booking.com. We had all the evidence to show that we had paid and we weren’t the only people with this issue. I think booking.com need to get rid of this hotel off their books amor make it pay at property.

Beautiful views, lovely staff, we would stay here again

It is located in the quieter part of the island but is still only a short walk to nice restaurants. Located on the beach means the views are priceless. We booked a grand deluxe villa (105) and the view was absolutely amazing. Very quiet resort too.

Quite over priced to say how dated the property and bathroom was however do not let this put you off booking here! Everything was in working order, just dated.

Washroom , cleanness and I had to leave the hotel at 6 in the morning, no one is in the recuperation. Like if any emergency no one cares out safety Ar night or early morning. Last but not the least, they don’t provide toothbrush (I never ever faced anything like this in any Thailand hotel )

Lovely hotel, a little dated especially the bathroom. The beach is lovely and it is a short walk to the main town which is nice as you are away from the noise.

Bathroom needs a referb. Shuttle to port could be more frequent.

Incredible stay at Bayview

We loved our time here, the sea view was stunning and it was a dream waking up to it every morning and the room itself was clean, neat and very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful and we were able to book tours and transfers on the property which was very convenient. Private beaches just a 5min walk both ways, it was great.

Just felt the bathrooms were a little outdated.

Great location,our room had lovely views over bay.Nice hotel beach area.was lovely being able to walk on the beach for 100 metres or so to get to the hotel from main shops,restaurants etc. Room was good size,clean,& well fitted out ,although dated.Ok hot shower & pressure,,but no hot water in Hand basin. Good breakfast. Staff very polite & helpful.

Was advised we would be met at ferry to assist us getting to hotel,,but no one met us. Asked for 2 beach towels at 3 pm ,,but advised none available. Whilst pool water was clean,pool surrounds were in a poor dilapidated condition,,,weeds growing up in concrete surrounds,broken surrounding wall,rubbish in area around pool,no towels ,no bar facility or attendants there. Picture on website should be removed.

A bit shabby and overpriced

Villas in the quiet area with loads of trees and nature around. Private and quiet atmosphere. Great balcony and sea view from the room. 15 min walk to Long beach

The house itself seemed old, somewhere there’s paint missing on the walls, the shower sprinkled water and overall impression was that everything’s old and not very clean. The place looks better in the photos. Pool is also a bit dirty (fallen leaves) Plus because it’s in the forest, there are mosquitos and ants around the area (but not in the room), be ready for that. In my opinion the place is overpriced

Great views, but property needs lots of TLC

As always, the views are stunning. Breakfast was good, but the times have been reduced. The kitchen staff are always lovely. Check in was easy and efficient.

Unfortunately, Bayview seems to have been a bit neglected over the years and it’s showing. My bungalow, while it had the most stunning view of Phi Phi Leh, was very bare bones. There were no bedside lamps, nothing on the walls. Over all the room felt a bit neglected and run down. The ceiling fan was in desperate need of a real good cleaning. The cushions on the patio furniture were old and deteriorating, the foam on the loungers was actually rotting. The bathroom was a right state, in serious need of some attention, deep clean, updating and new paint. The water coming from the shower had a particularly bad smell sometimes. The water pressure was nonexistent in my bathroom sink. Half of the resort appeared to be closed down. The pool area has been completely stripped down. No furniture. No towels. No pool bar. No music. No way to order food. Many of the beautiful old big trees have been cut down all over the property, just stumps left behind. The stairs down to the beach are overgrown, the buildings are in disrepair. There is no way to wash the sand off your feet, as the shower is broken at that end. All over the property there were signs of neglect. Some bungalows had tarps on the roofs, instead of being repaired properly.

The situation located at the end of the beach suited us. Away from the noise and hustle and bustle of the strip. Easy walk to the restaurants and shops.

The property is going through a re-invention of itself. There are thinks that need attention but we believe the value for money whilst this is happening is fair. Look forward to completion

Beautiful

The rooms were basic but very comfortable and very clean, perfectly good for the price we paid. The view though is something else, WOW! There is a hill to climb to get that view, so perhaps not ideal for anyone physically challenged. Ideal if you only have a night or 2 on the island. I didn't have the breakfast but my son and husband said it was lovely.

The hill to get to the rooms at the top, facilities very basic but we didn't use them.

Peaceful getaway

This is my favourite place to stay in all of Thailand. The rooms are comfortable and provide a great peaceful view. While phi phi can be a bit crowded and crazy you never feel it here as its sets off at the end of a beach with just a short 10 min max walk into town. They have a substantial breakfast in the morning with made to order omelets, pancakes, cereal, toast, fresh fruit, and more. There were lots of friendly cats around that came by for a visit.

Do beware it is built into the hills so it is a hike up to your room. You should try to contact ahead of time to request one of the lower level rooms if this is an issue.

A great hotel to book if you’re visiting PhiPhi!

Great hotel situated away from the party side in Phi Phi. We stayed here for 2 nights and did the Maya Bay Boat trip on the second day. There is a tour guide right off the beach next to the hotel where you can book the boat trips. The hotel has a private beach located 20 minutes away from the Pier where you get dropped off. The hotel pick you up from the ferry pier and take you to your room. A great hotel to book if you’re visiting PhiPhi!

Picturesque but too many people. Too steep to get to room.

The view from our room was spectacular. Room was good enough. Breakfast good enough. Food for lunch and dinner was tasty.

I didn’t see anything in the photos or description about how steep and long the walk to the rooms was. The pool is at the far end of the complex, not in front of the beach and near the restaurant and bar as I expected. The swim up bar wasn’t open. The bar and liquor selections were very limited. Really just beer. I wish they had a light blanket instead of a heavy comforter. ( it’s the tropics people!). If I was young the walk into town and then back to the room would not be bad but I have an ankle injury and there is no other mode of transport but walking. Sure it’s just 10 minutes into town but then you end up walking all over town. Also you have to have luggage loaded into long tail boat for transport to ferry terminal. Could be issue for those with any disabilities. They will take your luggage to your room and carry it to boat for you. Stunningly beautiful islands. Very crowded. Diving was spectacular even with not great visibility. Lots of food and massage places in town. We loved the buckets of booze for 150 baht (4 shots of booze). Can’t snorkel in front of resort because there are too many boats and don’t want to get run over. We took a private long tail tour and still the captain had us on a strict schedule so I felt like I couldn’t swim and snorkel as long as I wanted. But once again, still amazing and beautiful. Grateful I was able to do this before I get too old.

The Pool was closed throughout my stay. I should receive a discount. The rooms were a difficult walk uphill from reception. The was a nest of flying biting insects by the doorlock that swarmed when we opened or clised the door. It took them a full day to sort that. One male receptionist (non Thai) was rude and dismissive.

Not what we expected

The view from the front row bungalows is amazing! Some of the staff is really helpfull.

Distance from the pier. How steep the paths at the resort are. The path you had to walk to get to the resort involves a very narrow bridge made of three wooden planks. To get to the resort you have to walk the last part over the beach, there is no path, that gets very dark at night. The swimmingpool has no ambience, no pool bar and hardly any sun. Sure you can swim, but there is no one there, it feelsl like you entered the twilght zone. You cannot put anything on your room, not even breakfast. The majority of the bungalows are a steep 10 minutes away from the reception; we upgraded our bungalow, so we could be closer to the reception and not be out of breath everytime you go to your room. could go on... but I have only one advice, really consider booking somewhere else and paying some extra. Or book an other island and do a PhiPhi tour from there!

One I’ll never forget

The staff are all so friendly, the beach and views are breath taking. We had a sea view and could not fault our room at all. It is a little walk from the main pier but there are always taxi boats available however the walk is not hard and you get to see a lot of Phi Phi that could be missed if you stayed right in the centre. We were celebrating my birthday and for my arrival, the hotel decorated my room which was such a lovely surprise!
