Delta Hotels by Marriott York

We had a large room, with a small patio overlooking a pretty garden, and beyond that the racecourse. The bed was huge, and very comfortable. Excellent spacious facilities with bath and separate large shower. Spotless cleanliness could not be faulted. Room was very well equipped; iron and board, kettle, tea, coffee, coffee machine, water, large TV, mini fridge, robes etc. For transport, there are bus stops very close by, just a few minutes into York centre. Parking £7 per 24hrs, much cheaper than city centre. We would have absolutely no hesitation in staying here again !

A trivial point: perhaps the bistro menu could have been more extensive, but the food wasn't bad.

Location/access to the racecourse. Room facilities although A/C was not working-fan provided.

General basic maintenance and upkeep around the complex needs improving, rubbish blowing around the carpark for days without any staff being visible throughout my 5 day stay. Carpark crowded due to being open to general public and not solely hotel guests.

Fabulous accommodation in beautiful surroundings. Minutes from centre and easily to each via no.4 bus. Live link for bus accurately shows where the next bus is in real time. Swimming pool, steam room, immaculate rooms, beautiful comfy bed and bedding, spacious and lovely bathroom. Room spacious, airy and clean. Great breakfast. Highly recommend! Thank you.

Check in was 3pm but our room was not ready until 3.45 we had planned to visit York museum but it closed at 5 so missed out,also one bar staff on at night so waited ages to get a drink
