Amazing location in a picturesque farmland setting. Calm, relaxing, private - the pet/baby gate was useful for no escapees. Easy check-in, staff are accommodating, but not imposing. Well equipped kitchen, the fridge is brilliant! Spacious bathroom, good towels. Hot, clean hottub, comfortable sunloungers and outdoor seating area. Easy commute to Cheddar gorge, reservoir, woodlands, pubs/restaurants and convenience stores.
The lodge could have fly screens, especially as it's hard to cool down the rooms without the flies coming inside (this is down to the location of the lodges). Daily 8am hot tub cleaning woke us up when we were trying to lie in, but it was immaculate anyway. Found a rusty knife set in the kitchen that needs updating. Curtains need to be wide enough to close properly as the sliding doors are large and let lots of light in (I used a hair clamp to secure). Bedroom door rattles when the windows are open, so wedged it with a suitcase. All easy tweaks imo
