The design and layout was perfect. The host was friendly and helpful. The hot tub was a delight and the pool was a great temperature. The chilled environment was a great place to relax from everyday life
We booked for 2 adults so the second bedroom in the lodge was locked which was a bit odd and stopped the air circulation. It wasn’t clear on booking.com this would be the case. The kitchen had the basics but you need to take everything from salt and pepper, charcoal for the BBQ and soap for the sink in the bathroom.

Wonderful place to relax, very peaceful, short half hour road trips to most popular destinations such as Wells and Glastonbury, Wedmore is a lovely village steeped in history and nice hospitality, Cheddar is 10 mins down the road and the Cider Barn is a great oasis after a day out.
The flies, whether it was because of the extreme hot weather i don't know but flies were definitely an issue and certainly not the hosts fault, it's just the weather and the geography.
