Hillside Lodge, Tor Farm

beautiful property, really comfy beds, comfy sofa, nice big dining area (for 7 of us) well positioned to have privacy from other properties, well located (for a day out in Cheddar & day in Wells)

Hot tub jets barely worked unfortunately- so was like having a hot bath with friends rather than a proper hot tub experience

Hillside Lodge is a fantastic holiday lodge for a larger number of people. We went as 3 families, so 6 adults and 3 kids. Upon arrival we were greeted by the host who is very friendly and helpful. In fact one of our Tesco deliveries had already arrived and she very kindly unpacked it and stored it away. There are four double/twin room sleeping areas, two with ensuite and two share a bathroom and for our group that worked out brilliantly as all had a bathroom each. We also were supplied with a cot for the youngest and that was great quality. All rooms are decorated very tastefully with a modern theme and it was lovely and clean throughout. The lounge area has a huge couch with a big SMART TV for all to enjoy. It also has a lovely wood burner for the colder months. The kitchen has a big fridge freezer that fitted all our foodstuff. Only shame was the cool water option was unavailable as it had broken. The hot tub in the garden area is fantastic, adults and kiddies alike loved it. And just around the corner there's a communal pool which we all loved. It was a real treat coming back from a day out, to first have fun in the pool and then to heat up in the hottub. Really felt like being on holiday abroad. The lodge also has a washing machine and tumble dryer together with inside and outside drying lines. Ideal for all the party given our days were spent at the marine lake, then in the pool and then in the hot tub. And for many each day started in the hottub. In the evenings we really enjoyed our BBQs and they provide a great big Webber to the men's delight! Also in the evenings we enjoyed star gazing. What an ideal location for star gazing Somerset is, the skys are not ligh polluted given the location and we were treated to so many shooting stars on the eve of the 12th Aug. It was Magical ! We would highly recommend Hillside lodge. A fantastic holiday home and area and the owners are really nice and friendly and helpful.

The only thing that we missed was a frying pan for our morning bacon and that's all we can think of for this section so that speaks volumes!!
