The cabin was a great size/ good location.

it was so noisy! We had a loud lounge radiator & every so often what sounded like drilling underneath. Disrupted the peace & quiet. Also the tv didn’t work on an evening - it lost signal in the evenings for some reason Bowling was not avail

It was quite a way from reception and the spa and it was right next to the place where all the cleaners and maintenance staff were based so a little noisy from very early

Great place to stay but miserable staff and broken radiator making it too hot.

The space we had, the hot tub was always being checked on and clean.

The spa staff was very rough with my nails, went there for a gel manicure and she looked grumpy the whole time, didnt speak to me and basically ruined all my nails. The radiator was broken in bedroom, we couldn't turn it off snd it was too hot in our room. This should be checked before check in.

I came for the weekend of the 28th of November 25 where I was charged for 2 chalets but only booked 1 chalet 2 lots of money was taken from my account.Cheddar woods weve very helpful unfortunately booking.com wouldn’t credit my account so there was a empty chalet.Our weekend at Cheddar woods was relaxing,staff very helpful,chalets was spotless,loved it just upset that only booking for one chalets got charged twice.

Lovely location

Location is brilliant. The overall site is nicely presented and facilities are good.

The lodge smelled heavily of wet dog which sometimes can't be helped but some air fresheners left would of been nice. Our hot tub was also not ready for us to use on the 1st night. We reported it and they came out to put a submersible heater in but by the time this was taken out it was too late for us to use. Despite being told on the night that we would be entitled to some kind of compensation the manager in the morning said no.

Well equipped kitchen, comfy bed, large bathroom with great shower and a separate beautiful freestanding bath. Huge terrace with stunning views across Cheddar to the front and the hills and woods behind. Staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Disappointed

There was an issue with the sewage and on arrival our high spec lodge had a horrendous smell of sewage. Eventually we moved into another lodge but it wasn’t the same spec and our first day/evening was ruined by this.

Loved the layout and where it was situated. Brilliant for a young family

One of the beds had a broken leg, fortunately my eldest daughter (3) stayed on the one that was ok. Damage throughout the lodge but I suppose to be expected with the amount of visitors

Location was great, staff friendly. Quiet balcony not overlooked Parking for 2 cars available All you would need in the 2 bedroom house including dishwasher and washing machine. Very positive about my stay.

Good location and accommodation but bad service

The place was very clean and spacious and the location was great. The view of the hills around the site is a really nice change from daily life.

The service. I would have given this stay a much better review and rating if it wasn't for the service received from the short haired receptionist we dealt with. Shockingly there is a wait list for the pool during busy times (busy is highly subjective) and for some reason the fact that said receptionist controlled entry to the pool gave her a delusional sense of power. When asked how long the wait would be, she said she did not know. When I tried to see how many people were on the list, she tried to hide the notepad. When I managed to count the number of people ahead of us on the notepad and said the number, her response was "there we are" as if to rub it in. I do not understand how such a person can get a job in the service industry... please monitor your staff - the stay was otherwise nice but I would steer clear if it means that guests have to deal with such service. For other guests, please make sure you check that your lodge has a hot tub. Despite the images, they do not all do.

Relaxing family time in a lovely cabin.

Had everything we needed for our stay. Great location at the park close to the swimming pool and play park.

Slightly run down in parts with broken cupboard covers and parts of wallpaper missing One single bed had the springs coming through the Mattress and we had to use additional padding for the child to sleep.

Good lodge overall ,well equipped .Location of site for us was perfect.

Some of the furniture was beyond use .Settee was almost on the floor, not able to use. Maybe a broom in the lodge .

Disappointing to say the least.

The location was excellent for our requirements.

The patio had bird poo in the ground, the furniture was stained green. The blinds were broken with 5 slats missing which let the light in and made it impossible to watch the tv. The toilet seat was broken, the carpet was covered in debris, windows were filthy inside and out, dead flies in the windowsills, one of the bedrooms had debris on the covers, all in all not adequately cleaned in arrival. No one in reception on arrival either.

Fantastic resort

The accomodation was perfect for our family of 5. We stayed in the Clifton Elegance Lodge and it had 3 bedrooms. One master bedroom with an ensuite, 3 twin rooms (one was very small but stillanages to fit 2 single beds, a bedside table and a cupboard). The lounge/diner was spacious with enough room for us all. The kitchen was well equipped. The main bathroom was a decent size too. The shower in the ensuite was amazing - very powerful. The fact that we could park our car right next to the lodge was a highlight for my husband! We were able to unload and load the car with ease. There was a swimming pool which was bookable one day on advance. The sauna and steam room ead available all the time. The spa was great, there was an offer on a Swedish back, neck and shoulder massage - £35 for 30 minutes. It was money well spent. There is a multisport court onsite which is massive. We made use of it pretty much everyday during our 4 day stay. The bar and grill was a nice place to chill after swimming and to get some drinks. They do 2 for £10 cocktails between 3pm & 5pm. Cheddar Gorge village was only a short distance, we walked on about 30 minutes and got the bus back on 10 and it stopped pretty much right outside the resort. There was so much to see in Cheddar Gorge, it really was gorgeous! Lots of little tea rooms too. Overall a wonderful stay.

Although I mentioned the kitchen was well stocked, there was only one dishwasher tablet. It would have been nice to have had one for each day of our stay. If I'd known, I would have packed my own. There were plenty of towels in the lodge but we were not given any when we visited the pool.
