Grand, spacious apartment, ideal for the town and beach

Great location, on a quiet road next to St Anne's park and gardens, a couple of minutes walk from the town's shops, supermarkets and beach and with bus stops at the bottom of the road with regular services to Blackpool in one direction and Lytham in the other. The first floor apartment itself was large and clean with all the facilities you could want, and you could just see the sea out of large windows in the living room / kitchen. The hosts, who live on the ground floor, were welcoming and friendly without being overbearing. Our apartment also had an infrared sauna which was a nice and unusual addition. The town of St Anne's itself is lovely, with a pier and beautiful park, decent bars, restaurants and shops, and good supermarkets.

The electric shower wasn't particularly powerful and it was difficult to maintain a consistent temperature. The rest of the apartment's hot water is served by an immersion heater which you have to remember to switch on for a while before you need it. To open the front door downstairs requires a key code to be inputted every time. Would have been nice to have a buzzer instead linked to the apartment, or perhaps a second key for the front door so you don't have to remember the code! These are all very minor points though that didn't affect our holiday.

Lovely area to stay in especially in lythum, the high st has lots of shops

Everything was very cute & cosy. Had everything we needed, & Christine the host was lovely & helpful.

The only thing I missed was a king bed but you don’t get to many of them in the uk

First Class

location is perfect just a few minuets walk to sea front and town centre. If you wamt to use the bus the stop is also a short walk. The owners of the appartment live on the ground floor and are always on hand if you need any help.

The facilities were excellent. Everything you could possibly need. The owners were friendly and happy to accommodate any request. They met us upon arrival which was a nice, personal touch.

The only issue was the stairs to the 2nd floor apartment for me. But that’s because I have a hip issue Otherwise great apartment with a cracking view

Comfortable peaceful stay in an excellent location

Met by lovely hosts, this is a spacious comfortable self contained flat in a large house. As it was on the top floor it was very quiet. The house is a short walk to the shops, restaurants and bars on the High Street and also the pier. We had a wonderful relaxing holiday and leaving the car parked outside, used the bus to travel up and down the coast. Recommended.

A pleasant apartment in a great location

A beautifully old building with high ceilings and plenty of space, this was good accommodation for our large family who spread across two separate apartments. Joe and Christine were excellent hosts who made us feel welcome and at ease with our young baby - providing a cot and high chair to really help make our stay a home from home. The accommodation is situated in the centre of Lytham St Annes, next door to the beautiful Pavilion Gardens where you can get breakfasts/snacks with the town centre and train station also only a short 10 minute walk away where you'll find the likes of Sainsbury's/Aldi among a selection of bars/pubs/restaurants. Blackpool is also only a 15 minute drive away (8 minutes to the Pleasure Beach) or a 25 minute bus ride away.

One of the bathroom doors was broken with the lock not working - leaving some of our group stuck in the toilet! When we raised it with Joe, all we got was given a screw driver for someone to open it from the outside which is far from ideal and means someone has to let you out from the outside each time. With so many people sharing, it's not ideal for a bathroom lock to be working (lets hope that is fixed properly afterwards!). However, the main other issue we had is that some of the bedrooms that were classed as double were small, it difficult to get dressed in them with the double beds in. Again, with big groups sharing, it's not practical to not be able to use your own room to get changed in - I appreciate it's to squeeze in as many people, but they should definitely be classed as single rooms. Also, the toiletries (shampoo/shower gel) were too small for an accommodation of 4-5 people with larger ones, attached to the wall a better option.

Christine and Joe met us at their home, and were very welcoming. The apartment, number 2, is large, well equipped, and possibly the most immaculately clean apartment we've ever stayed at. It's about 5 minutes from bus stops, both directions, 10 minutes from the town centre or beach, parking is not a problem either. I definitely give Woodlands Holiday Apartments 5 🌟

Came home very tired as stated above and also when booking we did not know there were 40 steps
