Pala House

We stayed at Pala twice, once in a standard double room and once in a superior room. Both times, we loved it. Perfect location, 5 minutes’ walk from the main busy street but still on a quiet street. The room was perfectly clean and big enough (of course the superior room is much more comfortable), with a clean bathroom and a hot shower. In the standard room there might have been a smell on some days, but we noticed it is quite normal in Southeast Asia. The bed was comfortable, and the air conditioning worked well and wasn’t noisy. Every morning you get hot water in a thermos for coffee or tea. Moreover, there is a small kitchen and a refrigerator in the common area that you can use. The staff is friendly and respectful.

In general, I think in other conditions the place is very quiet and cozy. Small garden inside with little pond and carps. The kitchen small but have all the facilities. Stuff is very friendly and welcoming. They allowed my late checkin. After my willingness to leave they have me full refund which was really nice.

I came to this place by reading reviews that it’s quiet. This what I needed, I booked for one week to check. First day was really quiet so I booked whole month. And the next day they started to make construction work on the second flour from 8 am. I was so surprised and annoyed by constant noise, I thought maybe it was for one day, but It didn’t stop. I asked the manager how long is going to be and he said that they have to finish until August. So maybe if you will go first ask the property owner about the process. If you don’t want to stuck again in scrolling and trying to find something available with good price in the city center. Also kitchen could be more clean.
