Nice little apartment overlooking Wentworth Street. The facilities were very good and the room was comfortable. The location was great - right on the main street, but not noisy.

We had a bit of trouble getting into the room. The instructions provided said to use the key box on the left side of the door. We tried many times to unlock it, but it wouldn't work. Finally, we tried the box on the right side, and it opened. Although the Booking.com description says there is parking, be aware that the parking is very limited street parking, or nearby pay parking lots. It worked out fine for us using the big waterfront parking lot a short walk away. The price for the room was very high, but I suppose that is just what it costs to stay in Portree in May.

Location in the middle of town. Clean.

The sink didn’t drain so you had to hold the stopper up to let it drain. Didn’t like the fact we were expected to take our garbage out back.

The location was decent.

(1) The owners were not accessible on call and the telephone nos provided by them on Booking.com as well as on their website was wrong and in fact of a different holiday rental provider. In spite of asking a few times, they failed to provide any contact number they could even be messaged on (2) Parking was truly a nightmare, particularly overnight parking and we ended up paying a penalty fine of fifty pounds. There is only public parking which is very scarce and the rules of parking are extremely complicated and require the cars to be often moved, and which the owners did not provide clear instructions for (3) There was no hot water during our stay in the apartment in the kitchen sink or the bathroom hand basin faucet (4) The mattress was very uncomfortable and the pillow covers stained.
