I first have to mention that Joana was the most wonderful host, who was super responsive and kind throughout our stay. Also, the apartment was brilliantly located, right in the heart of everything we wanted to see and do. We had more space than we imagined, and the kitchen was well decked out with everything we needed, including a few goodies that Joana had kindly left!
No real negatives at all, the only thing to mention is that for anyone with accessibility needs, this apartment may not be suitable for you as it’s on the second floor and there is no lift. This caused no issues for us though. Generally, Lisbon is pretty hilly, so if you’re heading to the city and feel able to get around, I’m sure this apartment will be fine!

The location in the middle of the lanes of Alfama could not be bettered.
Lots of stairs, but it kept us fit so no problem.

Most days we made our own breakfast but only 50m away were many small cafes offering all you need to start the day. The location was in the heart of the Alfama district (the old town) being close to the river and easy access to transport links such as trams, trains, buses and tuk tuks
There was nothing we didn't like. We visited so many places, often with excellent guides who provided a very informative tour.

Alojamiento muy bien situado, en el centro histórico de Alfama y cerca de muchos lugares de interés en Lisboa. La dueña se mostró disponible y dispuesta a solucionar los inconvenientes que surgieron a lo largo de la estancia.
Lo que menos nos gustó fue el olor a viejo y a humedad que desprendía el apartamento, sobre todo el dormitorio. Alojamiento descuidado en el mantenimiento (mobiliario, paredes Etc). En general el baño y suelo estaba limpio, pero hay detalles que no lo estaban e incomodaban. La máquina de café no funcionaba, la ducha se nos quedó sin agua caliente (éramos tres chicas con pelo largo). Todo ello hizo que no nos sintiésemos a gusto en el apartamento.
