Alfama Regal Suites

Abbiamo alloggiato nel monolocale e devo dire che si presta bene per una breve permanenza di coppia. La struttura è moderna e ogni accessorio è nuovo e utile per l’ambiente. Il bagno è funzionale e la piccola cucina è fornita.

Nonostante la posizione comoda e centrale, ho trovato il quartiere molto sporco e movimentato. Sapevo si trattasse di un quartiere popolare, ma non aspettavo tanta sporcizia. Forse sarebbe auspicabile garantire una maggiore igiene, in collaborazione coi servizi pubblici, in virtù del fatto che ospita tanti alloggi per turisti.

We absolutely loved being in Alfama during the June festivities for the favourite saints. Our hosts warned us about noise during this time, but, although the area was very busy at night, the apartment was not in the main party area and we slept perfectly well. So much fun to have the sound and vibrancy of the festivities going on around us, and so easy to join in! Also wonderful to be in a true residential area, watching the locals go about their normal lives in our little alley. And, after a few days, we started to really know our way around the Alfama maze. The apartment (#24, top floor) was beautiful - extremely well designed and so classy, comfortable and modern. Even the very steep stairs were great - what fun! And although the apartment is in a no-car area (lots of steps), the local transport, including the #28 tram, is only a short walk away.

The owners of the airbnb are very nice people, very supportive! You receive a small bottle of wine on your first day and the personally greet you with all the suggestions

The property is located in a very old building, ground floor. The door and windows are old wooden with no isolation, I could hear every movement of the neighbors, tourists as f I was not staying in a flat but in the street. Be careful, I had an issue with ants all over the kitchen and bathroom. And I had some allergic reaction either to washing detergent or ants bite. Had to go to the doctor on my return and take pills and cream. The bed itself is not comfortable, as it’s two different beds combined together. Pillows are not comfortable too. The evening before my checkout the automatic locker stopped working, and the emergency keys which had to be stored nearby locker was empty. So I had to wait 30 minutes outside in the rain while they were bringing me the keys.
