The location is great - right in the heart of Alfama.
The apartment was a little tired. The toilet seat and door handle were loose and then on the last night the shower tap broke. The hosts were very good and fixed it straight away.

We liked the apartment and the amenities. It was very clean and had everything we needed for a four-night stay. Also, we liked the close proximity to the main city and the sites. Also, the host was very communicative and responded immediately to any of our concerns.
The only negatives we experienced, the taxi dropped us off where we had to haul our luggage for 20 minutes. This was rectified for our return with a much closer pickup point. The steps to the apartment might be challenging for some users and finally, the immediate outside locale was very unkempt. There is nothing here that would prevent us from staying in the future.

Good location in the historic Alfama district, within walking distance of Lisbon sights
The apartment is on the 2nd floor, up quite steep steps (which is fairly usual for historic buildings like this one) - so it wouldn't be the right choice for more elderly visitors or those with mobility issues
