Everything was perfect. As a first-time solo female traveller, I felt completely safe and comfortable the whole time. The apartment felt so homely and cosy, and I loved the character of the cave-style space. The location in Alfama was amazing – the street sounds, the atmosphere, everything felt authentic and special. It truly felt like a home away from home.
Honestly, nothing. I had a perfect stay and wouldn’t change a thing.

The medieval experience. It makes you appreciate your own home
Very noisy neighbourhood. Even earplugs didn’t help… All these security measures from the host makes you even more nervous. It’s just not comfortable to be in this little room (it is! Literally 3x1,2m!), especially with two suitcases - there is no space even to step.
