The location! Specifically the one wonderful neighbourhood, Alfama. I also liked that the property had everything I needed - fully equipped kitchen, private bathroom (vs shared like at guesthouses) and secure locks on doors and windows (though I got the sense there was no threat). Also, I liked the design of the apartment - small door I had to crouch to get in and then step down into the living room. Unique and special. Finally, I liked how responsive the host was and how serious they took the couple issues I had.
Got a bit warm/humid with windows closed but I ran the AC unit with the windows open before bed to make sleeping easier.
