Almost magical, but don't come stressed out.

Increadibly charming! I arrived late and spent the evening in the shared living room working and listening thorugh the record collection. Loved it! I asked about gluten free breakfast options so the owner got something form the GF bakery next door. Quite exceptional. Will come again when in Brussels!

Spend a night at the museum

Very unique historic property with a lot of character. Friendly host, beautiful neighborhood.

Some things in the room were broken by previous guests and never fixed (faucets). Not a dealbreaker just worth noting that historic property comes with some issues.

Amazing, unique and beautiful place to stay, but be sure to request a shower when you book!

This is an amazing and unforgettable place to stay - an historic art deco house in a beautiful, quiet district of Brussels. Vincent is a friendly and helpful host who puts you at ease right from the start. The room is huge with high ceilings and a balcony. The location was perfect for us, as we were visiting friends just a few doors down the street. You can walk to the centre of Brussels in 20 minutes and there are trams and buses within a 5 minute walk of the house.

The two big drawbacks for us was, firstly, the lack of a shower. There was a bath with a shower attachment so you could wash your hair, but because the bath was not located in a tiled environment, you have to be very careful not to spray water onto the wooden floor. We always prefer a shower. Had we known that not all rooms had showers we would have requested a room with a shower when booking, but it was too late to change after we arrived. The other problem was the weak wifi signal, which was just about good enough for sending text messages, but not for surfing the internet or using a laptop.

A wonderful stay! Vincent the host and homeowner is brilliant. He is a very welcoming, charming person and excellent to talk to. He provided a nice breakfast and welcoming environment and have us great tips. The house is incredible and it's very nice that he opens it up to guests to stay. The location is lovely and there are lots of great places to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner nearby. The quiet road outside is a bonus with the water next to us. It's in a brilliant neighbourhood and the city centre is walkable. We very much enjoyed our stay and would stay again for sure. It was absolutely brilliant accommodation and we couldn't recommend it enough.

This is a superb stay although the shower in the room we stayed in could be improved... you have to sit in the bath and hold it by hand. If you want to wash your hair, it can take a while! It's lovely but you have to be careful to protect the decor and wood.

Great Host, bu needs TLC.Check in after 5pm is very late especially when you have to check out at 11

Location was very central but parking was an issue very expensive no property parking. Breakfast was fine typical continental breakfast but was fair value for money.

No shower in the room. Large bath and taps did not work so we had to run the hand shower in the bath. Double basin was very handy but one tap was out of order. Light in the next room was permanently on in the night shining threw a glass window.

It was Beautiful in every respect

Loved EVERYTHING - the culture, the breakfast, the host, the location, the History, the beauty. I particularly wanted to dleve inot Art Nouveau/Deco and its was magnificent

Beautiful and absolutely worthwhile.

This is one of the most beautiful apartments you could stay in - a classical example of Brussels art nouveau architecture, and the photos online do not do it justice. The location is also great, near the etangs d'Ixelles.

The check in hours are a bit inflexible - but it's understandable given the small nature of the bed and breakfast.

A truly special place with an exceptional host

The house is truly exceptional — a beautifully preserved Art Nouveau building full of character, atmosphere, and outstanding beauty. Its location is excellent: calm, charming, and well connected. But what made my stay particularly memorable was the host’s warm and welcoming presence. I’m especially grateful for his cheerful and inclusive attitude, which helped me feel at ease right away. I arrived a bit anxious about upcoming meetings and networking events, and his kindness and positivity made a real difference. A wonderful and uplifting experience!

The hotel is a historical building in Belgium and the building is very beautiful with special architectural features. The host is very friendly and give you lots of information about the local area

The room is very dirty especially the bed linens. It seems that they don’t clean the room after each guest leave. There is no curtain in my room and no air conditioning. The fridge and the floor is very dirty.

A very beautiful stay.

It is in a beautiful setting with green trees and a lake with swans and geese. Bells ringing and beautiful music around . We walked to two very good restaurants. The room was large and the bed was comfortable.

A place & stay to remember!

An exquisite Art Nouveau building - an idyllic guest house for travellers who wish to feel like home and live a superb experience. Very nice location and neighbourhood across the Ixelles ponds. Delicious breakfast with a view. Last but not least: Vincent is the perfect host and it was a pleasure to meet him and have conversations with him.

I wish I had the chance to stay at a different suite every night and enjoy the building to the fullest!

THE perfect hotel

what can anyone expect from a great hotel? perfect location? spacious rooms? perfect maintenance? fluffy clean towels? beautiful modern, yet cozzy, room design? great bed? all these are checked, at the highest level possible, topped with the friendliest, attentive, most professional staff possible, and a beautiful cafe'/restaurant at the lobby. we were personally greeted and received on check-in by Efi, probably the most charming and professional front desk person we came across. I stayed at hundreds of hotels across the globe, and this is probably my most favorite one. simply perfect.
