Halifax House, Studio Apartment 209

Location, cleanliness, facilities.

Difficult to find entrance. A street name would have been helpful. A post code isn’t always enough, even with Google maps. I only found lift to 2nd floor on departure when another resident pointed it out to me. It wasn’t easy to find. There was a sharp broken tile in the bathroom - potentially dangerous! Otherwise, I would have given it 10/10!

The location was very good as not far from the train station, easy to find. Close to shops and the Piece Hall (for gig). Apartment had all the facilities I could want or need, kept to a reasonable standard of cleanliness. A nice size, layout. Bed was good size and quite comfortable. The sofa was comfortable too (perfect for watching a bit of tv before bed). Nice size fan was handy in evenings. Correspondence with Lee concerning check in and general things was spot on, excellent! Very informative and helpful.

Only one thing really and that was the fact the only window in apartment (bedroom space) opened up onto the fire escape. I realise there isn't anything that can be done to address this but as I like to have bedroom window open a bit at night, personally I didn't feel fully comfortable with leaving open, so closed it but no big issue for me but maybe for others.

We were lucky enough to meet Lee coming out of the apartment block when we arrived. He took us on a very helpful guided tour around the apartment. Also, he gave us lots of info on parking, directions to where we wanted to visit. We will definitely be back

More attention to the dusting. The cracked floor tiles in the bathroom.

Central location. Most of the appt is nice, but there are a few things that need sorting out.

Shower walls were mouldy. Bathroom was really small with a cracked floor tile. Appt corridors smelt of marijuana and there were a few unsavory characters in corridors. The glass top table in front of the sofa is dangerous as it's too big for the space and I hurt my leg on it twice. The kitchen sink is very poorly designed as it's difficult to wash up. This feedback is meant to help the owner and I'm sure one these points are sorted out it will be a lovely little let.
