The location and quite area
The stairs were to steep and double bed very uncomfortable to sleep on

I was so impressed with this property, we had the cosiest stay and it was perfect for our little getaway to visit family. It was easy to get to, no trouble parking, access to keys was easy and the property was clean and ready for us to just relax in as soon as we arrived. The garden was perfect for our little dog to go out in and in the summer I am sure it is lovely to sit out there too. It was a little chilly for that this time though!!
All the facilities were great with plenty of room for us. The beds were super comfy, the shower is lovely and it was just as the pics show, no horrible surprises at all. It really was a home away from home with all the creature comforts that you might need whilst away. A little shop is just doors away and there are larger supermarkets about a 5-10 minute drive out as well. We took a walk most nights and it was so nice, in either direction, you'll find a lovely setting with some really lovely views too.
The hosts were lovely and very good with communication, the little welcome book told us all we needed to know, but they were just a message or call away if we needed anything so you feel very looked after.
All in all I was really impressed with Hilltop and I would definitely book again on our next visit up North.
Personally, I can't fault it for anything to be honest!!!

A beautiful little find! The house is clearly loved and very much meets the idea of a 'home away from home'. The lovely hosts were super helpful.
Everything was wonderfully clean and tidy, a well equipped kitchen made eating in a pleasure. Parking was very easy, just out on the road in front of the property and the little touches of Yorkshire were greatly appreciated. Nice modern bathroom and fairly comfy beds made for a great stay.
Being VERY picky but the sofas are a little boxy and therefore not the most comfortable, but that is personal taste more than anything and towels were fairly small for a 6ft family. Thanks again for a lovely stay!

The location,how quiet the little village was,and it was like home from home and they also supplied tea coffee sugar and more
The settee’s need updating hard and feel like you’re on the floor also all though a nice bathroom there’s not a lot of room between the toilet and shower kept banging my arms on the glass and wall the stairs are very steep as I have a frozen right shoulder I couldn’t reach the hand rail so had to go up on hands an feet I am a large lady but not massive so was a little uncomfortable for myself
