Only 3mins from Hakone-Yumoto station and very traditional ryokan style with a bit of western features.

Wonderful onsen - both the private one and the public one. Nice staff. Free coffee at the lobby. Excellent location.
Big spider webs in the window.

The ryokan experience was the highlight of the whole trip. The staff were incredibly friendly and hospitable, the room interior felt authentically Japanese, and having a private onsen was a real treat. The views were excellent too, overall it exceeded my expectations of what a traditional Japanese stay could be.
