The room I had was on a main road and it wasn't as quiet as I hoped at night, with cars and people passing by. As I have very light sleep, I needed to use earplugs at night to ensure proper rest. I believe the other rooms are on the back side of the building and will therefore be quiet

Leeuwencee – a little home away from home

This guesthouse in Seapoint was our best choice for a few days in Cape Town. Very pretty furnished modern rooms with small kitchen unit well equipped to even prepare small meals, modern bathroom, all clean, air con, sea view, even free parking and a small pool for refreshing (also bath towels are provided) - and all that for very good value for money. In the common lounge you will find books and magazines about South Africa, as well as board games. Free coffee is available all day long. By request, a lovely breakfast is served for R150. Jeanette, the owner, is a wonderful host and lovingly cares for her guests, and so does her staff. She also gives valuable tips and suggustions to explore the surroundings. The location is very central. Within walking distance are the beach promenade with its small beaches, numerous restaurants, bars and shops. By car, you can quickly reach among others the famous Cliffton Beaches, Camps Bay, the Waterfront. Generally, everything in and around Cape Town is easily accessible. I can highly recommend this guesthouse.

The property is located in a nice neighbourhood, close to the coast and many restaurants. The staff was very kind, interested and they provided useful information about what to do in Cape Town. The room was very clean and provided a lot of space.

A home away from home

Loved the hostess Jeanette and Kyra (sorry not sure) and all the staff. Very informative, personable and friendly. Makes you feel like a home away from home. Loved the room with little kitchenette and the balcony.

I didn't like that it was on a very steep hill...which means it may not be accessible or difficult to walk there for some. The closed circuit television was not very useful. It felt like using a computer mouse and arrow to get to the apps. You can get you tube. If none of this is unimportant than it's a great place.

It felt like being at a family house. Jeannette, the owner, and her staff were so lovely, caring and welcoming. It is really well located, a 5/10min walk from the seaside where you can either walk towards V&A Waterfront or Clifton Bay. And then you’re a 10-15min drive from nice restaurants at night. The bedroom was clean with all basic facilities, including USB plug sockets, kettle, fridge, hairdryer etc. The guesthouse also offers breakfast everyday for ZAR150 and honestly it’s completely worth it!

Nothing, apart from the fact that our bedroom was on a side of the road, so a bit busy/noisy sometimes.

Jeanette and Daniel and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable, the bathroom was great and the kitchen facilities were a bonus. Great location as it was just a short walk down to the restaurants and the seafront .

3 night stay but a bit disappointing

The room was lovely and the bed was really comfortable. Bathroom was tiny.

During load shedding I had a cold shower as the hot water did not last. Also note that they do not offer breakfast on a weekend.which we were not told about. They did, however, make a plan with Cereals . On Saturday night, other guests were extremely noisy till after midnight. I feel that the management should have asked them to quieten down.

we booked 5 rooms for a 1 night stay but before we check-in, were told by the owner that the previous guest didn't check out due to medical reason. We had no choice but to accept owner's proposal to arrange 1 room at another location. By the time we check-in, was told by owner that instead of 1 room, 2 rooms are not available to us. We didn't really like the accommodation Stonehurst Guest House that the owner move us to. We were given the rooms upstairs so we have to carry our big luggage bags up. Poorly maintained, dirty, and apathetic service from the owner. No TV, small room, the shower door can drop off anytime.

The owner of the place has such a welcoming attitude. She is super friendly, professional and has a great spirit of Ubuntu. The dining room was very comfortable and the breakfast was served warm. I loved the eggs and the mushrooms. The electric blanket was a super saver from the cold night. The security measures were beyond measure. Keep up the good work.
