Lovely room clean and tidy with en-suite and kettle for a nice cuppa. Had a lovely view of the river. The pub was so nice with open fires and friendly staff. Really good food as well we had dinner and breakfast good quality and very tasty

A very pleasant weekend with our friends in beautiful surroundings.

Breakfast and dinner menus were varied, and the presentation of the dishes was excellent. All the food was very good. The bar and all the rooms were kept warm. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were anxious about being cut off due to storm Claudia, but the staff were able to provide us reports of the state of the weather along the river, and we stayed safe.

Great pub, amazingly helpful staff.

Totally our mistake, thought dog could stay but dogs only allowed in bar not in accommodation. Manager was incredibly kind and helped us find alternative accommodation. It was brilliantly convenient and very comfortable.

Brilliant 3 night stay in a relaxing happy pub/hotel.

Great location, great beer, excellent food, and excellent accommodation and to top it all every one of the staff were very friendly happy bunch. This made it a great value highly relaxing stay..... Top marks to management for building a great team/atmosphere and the staff for there demeanor and dedication. Every day I left the hotel relaxed after having excellent breakfast and with a smile on my face.

Squeaky new bed in room 1 but this is very minor was one of best stays in UK hotel/pubI have had for a long time.

Beautiful location & great accommodation

The location was beautiful with a local walk. The staff were friendly and extremely professional particularly the restaurant staff (evening & morning). The room was lovely and overlooked the River Wye. The breakfast was excellent with lots to choose and plenty to eat!

Lovely pub/hotel in fantastic setting with an amazing breakfast would reccomend.

Fantastic setting and some lovely food served in the restaurant. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing.

Room was a bit tired and could be updated, usb sockets would have been a big help. Dinner was on the expensive side but the breakfast most certainly made up for that.

A little gem on the riverside

Beautiful Location. Bedroom very comfortable with great views of the river. Breakfast was excellent. Evening meal good. Staff very nice. Free parking. Lovely walks straight from Inn.

Parking extremely difficult Very bland in the bar with no comfortable seating for after dinner drinks. Dinner great but no atmosphere what so ever in the dining room - soft music much needed Costly but a much needed treat.

Great location. Good hotel.

Although it rained most of the time, the hotel had nice area to sit outside when weather permitted. The staff were very nice and efficient. Breakfast was exceptional. Food bit overpriced, we felt. It was goid though. Parking difficult but made easier by staff. As we were staying, we didn't pay for parking. Would recommend the hotel.

The only thing we would have liked would have been a comfortable area just to sit and have a drink in the evening. All tables set out for eating. Had to ask if we could just drink and someone took away a couple of place settings so we could sit.

Friendly well run hotel. Excellent!

Great location to spend a few days. Very busy in high season, but the staff was amazing and looked after us. Generous freshly cooked breakfast. Our room looked over the river. Noisy because of the many day-trip tourists but all quiet around 21.30 h. The river and its surroundings are beautiful. Many nice places to visit. Or just walk around the neighbourhood. It was our second time visiting Symonds Yat. We might go there again.

The location was absolutely beautiful, situated on the riverside. The staff of the inn were so polite and extremely helpful The accommodation was lovely and very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. We also had our evening meal in the restaurant which was excellent. Thank you very much for a lovely two night stay.

Wonderful overnight stay

A wonderful overnight stay right by the river. Our room with a balcony was huge with everything as expected from the pictures. Very comfortable, clean and spacious. The walk along the old railway line path was lovely. To be able to walk one way near the river, go across the small suspension bridge and walk back on the other side of the river and take the small hand ferry back to the pub is great. The sunny weather helped as it was glorious for walking during our visit. The breakfast was excellent. All of the staff who we met were polite, friendly and really helpful. We will try the river boat outing next time. We had a great stay at Symonds Yat.

It wasn't a cheap one night stay....eating out in nice pubs seems to be expensive these days. It was a lovely treat.
