Super accommodation. The staff are ultra attentive and the food is first class. Beautiful part of the world to stay in but maybe a little remote for some. Only slight drawback was we were housed in the ground floor room of the boathouse and the noise of people walking around in the room above is very loud. If they got up in the night it wakes you up.

This is the best hotel we have stayed in for many a year. The hotel is in a perfect location overlooking the river Wye. The room had excellent views of the river and was spotless and had everything we needed, nothing missing. Unlike some hotels, biscuits and water were replenished every day. The staff without exception were friendly, professional and very efficient. The food produced by the kitchen was AMAZING. Breakfast was exceptional and included in our price while our evening meal was extra but great value and the menu altered each evening. The evening meal was one of the best we’ve had in a hotel. We enjoyed a trip down the river from right outside the hotel and it was so informative. The hotel also offer the Hand Ferry across the river which is free for guests. Lots of beautiful walks and things to see in this very picturesque area. We will definitely be back and unreservedly recommend it. Thank you for making our stay so memorable.

Lovely overnight stay on 11.05.25. Stayed in room 8 overlooking the river. Room comfortable, clean. and well equipped. We were there on a Sunday so the fact that the room was above the outside drinking area wasn't a problem, but might give some noise in the room from late drinkers on a Saturday or in high season. Staff were all really friendly and helpful. Breakfast and dinner were both good. Would absolutely stay again.

We enjoyed every single moment of our stay at the wonderful Saracens Head Inn from the initial welcome we received on checking in, right up until the day we had to leave (very sadly) and checked out. We stayed 3 nights over Easter in a very well appointed and comfortable room overlooking the River Wye. The facilities in the room were excellent and each day our room was fully serviced and any tea / coffee / sugar etc. we had used was restocked, meaning we never had to ask for anything. Breakfast really was excellent with so much to choose from - fruit, cereal, yoghurt, pastries or a full English. Nothing was too much trouble and drinks (coffee / tea/ fruit juice) were in plentiful supply.We ate in the restaurant on two separate evenings and again, the choice was great, served quickly (even when the pub was very busy), piping hot and always with a smile too. The Saracens Head is located in a beautiful valley and the scenery is absolutely stunning. We loved everything about our stay and will definitely visit again.

Stayed In room 11 - room was clean, beautiful and spacious. The bed was super comfy. breakfast was lovely and very good value for money . Personally didn’t use the restaurant other than for breakfast as it seemed pricey. Not much around the area other than the beautiful walks and scenery. Other activities just a couple of minutes away in the car but if you’re looking for a peaceful stay with plenty of walks it’s a perfect off grid break . There is a canoe hire on site also

Room 12 was really nice, more of a suite than a room with a little outside space for two overlooking the many people and the hand water ferry. Food was good if huge. Breakfast was outstanding, fresh and delicious. Well done. Peter.

Lovely location and very peaceful, Very attentive staff nothing felt too much trouble, Parking could maybe be better and would possibly put us off visiting in the summer months when i would imagine it must be very busy. Room was clean and well presented, Lunch and Breakfast was of a very good standard.
