Very good overall and good value for money.

Fresh good food offered with veggie options and some gluten free. Would have liked more gluten free bread options. And would have liked low fat greek yoghurt as an option. Otherwise, it suited me very well.

As stated above - my only other concern was that all bedrooms were on the first floor with a steep flight of stairs. As far as I can remember there was no mention of this on the website. My apologies if it was. As I am now 80 years and although in good health generally, steep stairs and no lift could be a problem in the future.

A little gem.

The staff/owners were very hardworking, friendly and helpful. Breakfast and dinner were lovely - a wide variety of dishes. The room was warm and newly redecorated. The bed was enormous and comfy. It is opposite the river in a lovely setting. Tintern abbey is a short walk away.

The main body of the hotel is quite traditional and a bit creaky.

A great value hotel which is comfortable , well located and offers a wide range of food, drinks and hospitality .

This hotel was ideally located for visiting the Wye Valley . It was very pretty with outside tables and summer flowers which were very appealing . Good car parking . The room was spacious and had good facilities , spacious bathroom and comfy large bed.We ate at the hotel on both nights , lovely menu which was all home cooked by Sue . Breakfast was plentiful with a range of cooked items as well as fruit, cereal and juices . Barry and Sue and their staff were very welcoming and helpful and made suggestions for local walks and visits . Would stay at this hotel again and thoroughly recommend to others .

Very clean,quiet and comfortable. Home-made pie bed and red wine for dinner eaten at an outside table in the evening sun Lovely cooked to order breakfast. An old school family run small hotel: the kind you very rarely get these days in a world or corporate chains. Comfortable bed with high quality sheets and bedding. The bedroom wasn’t huge, but really well equipped, very light and immaculately clean.

Location was great - within walking distance of Tintern Abbey and walks along the river side directly from the hotel. Dinner was really good and great value. the room was comfortable - good size and quite a large bathroom.
