It’s decent enough but we weren’t thrilled with the town itself.

It’s an Walking distance to train station and a few restaurants. Longer walk to old city but very doable, if you’re good with walking. The restaurants in the castle/old city were really nice with fantastic views. We loved the sunset from the castle. The hotel Staff is great, they are cheerful and helpful. Rooms are pretty nice, breakfast is continental but the make nice coffee. We rented e-bikes and biked the entire lake which was a highlight.

The shower was small with difficult doors. The rooms are clean but the hallways and smoking areas feel somewhat worn. Walls were thin so you hear other families easily. Bathing caps in the pool is not pleasant for a cooling swim. The area where the hotel is located feels run-down or depressed. Personally, We would not recommend a trip to Castiglione de Lago because it didn’t offer much in the way of Lake access, etc. Other lake towns felt more resort focused.

Great location

Great place to stay for equestrian competitions. Everything within walking distance. 7 min to the railway station, 10 min to the old town. Very attentive personnel. Served breakfast at 5.00am for us.

Expected better breakfast with more local specialities. But anyway we enjoyed.

Great location, big family room, nice breakfast/good coffee, good location, fun happy hour offering, and really enjoyed the pool

The pool was often a bit murky/not 100% clean and the A/C in the family room was too weak to cool it in the crazy heat

The staff was very warm and accommodating, and made things easy for me when I had to keep altering my dates due to changes in my travel plans. Additionally, Hotel Duca Della Corgna is the kind of place where the staff remembers you and is eager to help with all your needs.

Very nice hotel, good swimming pool, kind staff

We had a very nice and huge room with a balcony overlooking the swimming pool. The staff was very kind. There was a good parking place. The breakfast was good, you had to order what you want to have, all was ok.

It was too far from the old town to walk to there and there was no restaurant in the vicinity.

The onsite restaurant was excellent, way better than anything I tried jn the village. I also much enjoyed breakfast, served at the table. Well functioning and not too noisy AC .

The neighbourhood was not exciting, and there was quite some distance to walk to the center, or to the lakefront. On the other hand, it was quite close to the railway station.

La struttura è andata ben oltre le mie aspettative; personale cordiale e professionale, stanza comoda, pulita e ben fornita e ottima posizione (sia dalla stazione che dal centro di Castiglion del Lago). La cagnolina Matilde, mascotte della struttura, è dolcissima e resterà nel mio cuore.

Carino ma

Bell'hotel, camere pulite e colazione pazzesca. Personale gentile e disponibile. Piscina carina, ma noi non ne abbiamo usufruito.

Peccato la posizione, che nonostante sia comoda, non lo rende un luogo troppo tranquillo. La nostra camera dava proprio sulla strada, per cui la mattina ti svegliano macchine e camion di passaggio in quanto le finestre non sono insonorizzate. Inoltre dalla camera si sente tutto ciò che accade nei corridoi, rendendola meno silenziosa. Diciamo che per quello che abbiamo pagato per due notti ci aspettavamo qualcosina in più in quanto a privacy e tranquillità.

Schönes Hotel mit tollem Personal

Bequemes Bett, 2 Klimaanlagen, schöner kleiner Pool mit ausreichend Liegen drum herum. Sehr nettes Personal. Gutes Frühstück. Lage ist auch gut, ca.5 Minuten zum Bahnhof und knapp 10 in die Altstadt. Kann man definitiv weiterempfehlen.

Die Mücken am Pool, aber dafür kann ja niemand was :)

La camera era un po' piccola per 3 persone, e pulizia iniziale non impeccabbile abbiamo trovato bottiglie di plastica e un pacchetto di sigarette sotto il mobile. Nel bagno mancavano appendini porta asciugamani ma pulito anche se la doccia era un po' datata.

La colazione molto varia sia dolce che salata. Ottimi i pancake. La zona piscina, la nostra bimba si è divertita tanto!

Leggendo le recensioni, mi sarei aspettata un'ottima pulizia. Purtroppo non lo posso affermare, le zone comuni un po' abbandonate, c'erano le sedie con la ruggine, la nostra bimba che voleva toccare tutto, dovevo stare con gli occhi ben aperti. La stanza assegnataci era al piano terra, priva di balconcino, aveva una sola finestra, non veniva pulita non so da quanto tempo, priva di zanzariere, dovevamo dormire tutti chiusi e nonostante ciò, ci siamo ritrovati la compagnia di 3 ragni. Per aprire i cassetti dell'armadio mio marito ha dovuto spostare il letto, e per farci spazio col passeggino, ha spostato anche la scrivania, insomma, 2 adulti più 1 bimba, non ci giravamo proprio nella stanza, e non avevamo il box per fortuna! Il bagno molto piccolo e senza areazione. La pulizia nella stanza, superflua, dovevo sgrassare il lavandino del bagno con il sapone dei piatti che avevo portato per lavare le posate della bimba. Insomma, da un 4 stelle non ci aspettavamo questa situazione, ma per 4 notti, abbiamo chiuso gli occhi.
