Lovely hotel in good location

Warm welcome on arrival. Good sized bedroom and stylish bathroom with whirlpool bath. Swimming-pool in the old cellars very atmospheric. Superb breakfast.

Unfortunately the jacuzzi end of swimming-pool not working on my visit, which was a great disappointment. Found bed (two singles together) uneven, hard and uncomfortable. TV placed on desk means no space for writing.

Overall would recommend this hotel but definitely suited more to couples rather than families.

Staff were very friendly and tried to be helpful at all time. The rooms were comfortable and felt relaxing. Pool was great! Small but atmospheric and the kids loved it! The restaurant was excellent. Great service and food amazing. The hotel has character, but feels like it needs a spruce up in places.

We were there as a family. Unfortunately there is no children’s menu on offer. Additionally we had to book what we wanted from the menu 3 hours in advance! We ordered 2 desserts prior but were denied a third during dinner. The pool is amazing but the system for booking is unclear. As a family we didn’t want to spoil other guests relaxation so booked a private slot on our first morning. Another couple came (obviously on a romantic stay) - which was not ideal as we were splashing and enjoying a pool as people with young children do. You have to pay for robe and slippers for pool/spa area. No air-con which would have been good in the very hot weather.

Beautiful room building and grounds . No staff around which is totally unhelpful .

No staff apart from 1 man on reception who disappeared after check in . You had to ring him if you wanted eg a glass of wine from the bar which looked closed . No restaurant as described at all . Confusing whdn you n you read description . You have to book before 5 but that also means you have to pre order also what you want to eat. This lets the hotel down massively .

Perfect place to break your journey south or north.

Beautiful redesign of a classic country Manoir using sustainable materials on a southeast Asian theme. The atmosphere is serene and welcoming, not at all formal as I had feared. It’s peaceful and relaxing. The food was exceptional and very reasonably priced.

Very beautiful grounds and house,

It was like faulty towers, 1 lady works on reception who does the bar and everything else. They call it a “SPA” it was a small cold pool in the basement with a jacuzzi built in that didn’t work. Which you can’t use facilities freely until 1900-midnight. You check in at 1600 which your met with food choices from a limited menu. 2 choices reservation menu order before 1700 or non reservation menu. As we arrived at 16:40 we went with non reservation menu. Went to dinner at 18:40 to be told there’s only cheese and biscuits left!! The hotel is in the middle of however when we explained this got a rude man say that’s your choice or order Uber eats!! Shocking service from start to finish. Such a shame as the potential and beauty is lovely. Bed was low to the ground and a very cheap mattress. Shower was a dribble. Toilets are wedged in corner of bathroom so if you have anything more than a 34” waist good luck.

Peaceful haven near Quimper

We ordered a main course and dessert which were excellent and good value. It was warm so we eat outside on the terrace. Wide breakfast choice. Rooms comfortably furnished. Lovely property and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

It’s rated 4 star but not sure the service is up to that standard though it was always friendly. Decor might be getting a little tired.

Nice hotel and grounds.

The food in the hotel was very good but you have to choose the night before. We didn't have the breakfast. They seemed a little short on staff. There was an extremely helpful young man who run the bar!! Really lovely grounds.

The bed it had a wooden edge which ran around the bed and the mattress was inside. this made it difficult for my husband who has a disability to get out of bed. They had a lift down to the swimming pool but no handrails to access the steps to get in the pool.

The hotel grounds and decor were charming, staff indifferent and rooms need to be better maintained.

Pool was warm and clean. No problems there. The sauna was off when I wanted to use it and took 15mins to warm up. The decor in the rooms was very stylish and the grounds were very beautiful and great for having a peaceful walk in the surrounding nature. Would consider staying again, subject to the points below being addressed.

Nobody at reception when we arrived in the mid-evening. Somebody came however after calling on the phone in reception within a minute. My wife and I were only issued with one large towel for the two of us. Since we only discovered this after dinner and again nobody was in reception, we waited until the morning to request more towels. Even then, only one face towel and one more large towel and one towel for the pool were issued. We were two people! As a vegan, this is the first time I have ever been told at a hotel (I travel a lot) that there was no vegan-appropriate milk. Very disappointing, since I like to have cereal in the morning. There was also no chopped fruit selection. The walls in the bedrooms had mould developing in places. This could potentially become a health hazard if this is not dealt with.

A luxurious oasis in spacious grounds, conveniently located for Quimper. Fantastic eastern-themed building, rooms and plentiful fitness facilities. Lovely breakfast at a great price. Staff were friendly and helpful

Disappointing

The bed was comfortable and the bedroom large. There was a small swimming pool, not big enough to swim really but good to relax in.

It could be and perhaps once was a beautiful, unusual hotel, but it’s run- down and has an unloved feel about it. Specifically there were technical problems of toilet constantly running water despite telling the staff, doors sticking, wardrobe door sliding open to expose the loose small safe. Soap and tissues weren’t replaced. A noisy DJ on both the nights we stayed there- certainly not the silent ‘Relais de silence’ that they advertise themselves as being. All in all this hotel can definitely not be classed as 4 stars.
