The location is ouside of Inzell and remote. Bus schedule Inzell <> Ruhpodling <> Traunstein is not very frequent (1 per hour) and further thinned out on weekends (1 every 2hours). Also on weekends: synchronization of bus connections can be a problem with long waiting times as a result. So you better come with your own car!

Outstanding accomodation for the price.

The surroundings are impressive, the hotel is cozy and clean, and the staff is helpful and kind. The accommodation reserved for two people is spacious and comfortable, although it does not offer the most modern atmosphere, but this is not a disadvantage The kitchen is correct and plentiful, although not special. The breakfast buffet is fine, although the poultry-based cold cuts were lacking. An excellent choice for the price.

The heating system made a hissing sound in the room, which could only be remedied by turning off the heating. This is not lucky in winter. The sauna is overcrowded and its opening hours from 15:00 to 19:00 are short. It would be worthwhile to put a kettle, tea maker or mini bar/small fridge in the rooms.

Vegetarian food. On the website a specific meal was offered, but it was not on the menu when we arrived in the hotel. When we questioned this, the response was that only the meals in the current menu were for offer. We did not get the impression that the waiter understood that being a vegetarian is more than eating sallad or spaghetti.. The large plate with salads that was served was soaking in vinegar, and thetefore very unfriendly for the taste. (Niet te vreten - as we say in Dutch - zu dreckig zum essen

Lovely rural small hotel. Comfortable with friendly staff and good service.

Quiet location was beautiful. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Pool area is great for a small hotel in the area. The children's playground which is a stones throw from the hotel was magnificent. I could have spent hours there if my children were younger. The best of German playground design at the foot of the mountains. A pool table used by older teens....and there is gym equipment, sauna and jacuzzi.

Our room was near the night entrance which was up a wooden stairs, (not locked) and noisy when people came in later. The staff smoking area was also beneath our balcony, unfortunately.

Great value for money and great location. Rooms are clean and have tons of very convenient storage space. The staff is nice, polite, and supportive. Very pet friendly (ours stayed in the room but noticed that some people also had their pets in the restaurant and the breakfast area - found it really nice). One can play pool and enjoy the kids' entertainment room without any extra cost. Convenient that there is a restaurant on site. No need to drive to the city for dinner. The SPA area is not too big but delightful; the only con is that probably due to the Covid times it has some restrictions (e.g. bubbles in the whirlpool at specific times & need to register for sauna beforehand).

Two out of three evenings we had troubles in the restaurant - first evening we were rushed to the restaurant (it was the Ruhetag) asap and then had to wait around 40 min sitting at completely empty table to get even our drinks, the second day (business as usual) the meals were brought to the table separately (without any previous warning) - meaning when the last person got his plate, the one who waited to be polite had to eat his dish completely cold. What made it worst - the dish that was the last one was preordered... Thankfully the third night all went well - food was tasty, service was great and we could finally enjoy the experience.

Relaxing

The hotel is in a small alpine village under some beautiful mountains. The room was spacious and the bed was really comfortable. They also have a nice restaurant with a good choice of food.

Incredible in between the alps Hotel

The owners are the people that attend you when you arrive at the reception. I asked if we could had an upgrade of room so we had a balcony and we got an incredible suite for only 50 euro extra for two nights. The staff of the hotel where incredible nice and super helpful. The location of the hotel Is amazing as it’s outside a town so you don’t have that much noise.

The only thing that I will suggest to the owners is to add at the suite a kettle, coffee and tee, so the guests can have it at any time they want at the room.

A very 'traditional' German experience. Fabulous location.

As to be expected with traditional German Hotels. A very nice location with great views. Being August it was very busy, the restaurant was a bit chaotic, the breakfast was fine, though not everyone respected the 'Covid-rules'. A great place for kids, though for us oldies who wanted a little peace and quiet, I think September would've been better. All in all though we were pleased with our stay. The room was large and comfortable.

Nothing really, it was just as we had imagined it being, a well run family owned hotel.
