A very quiet extremely comfortable hotel with a good restaurant. The staff are very helpful. It’s well situated for exploring the Normandy coast.

A minor thing, but there should be 2 armchairs in a double room, not just 1.

gym didn't open until 8am - makes it impossible to use with touring etc. Pool was closed as well.

Bad

My pocketbook with jewelry was stolen from our room while we were out touring D Day beaches. The safe was to small to store my bag, so I hid it behind some bed linen, only to find it missing when I returned. We had to file a report with the French police which took up a whole day. There still has not been a resolution as to how the hotel will compensate my loss. Needless to say our French holiday was ruined by this experience. I certainly did not expect this from a five star hotel. Their status should be removed.

Great hotel, but disappointed with the service I received.

The room was really spacious and nice. Also the manager and most of the staff we spoke to we're super helpful and friendly. The hotel is lovely and a really special place to spend the weekend.

I called 2 days in advance to reserve a table for two at the restaurant in the hotel, the person who I spoke with confirmed a 8:30pm booking but when we arrived they said there was no booking and it wasn't their problem we should order some room service (which is very limited) - not only was it their fault they didn't offer any solution which was really disappointing, haven't experienced something like this at a 5* hotel before.

It was awesome.

The hotel was beautiful. The staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble for them. We got lost trying to find the hotel and Mikey who was working on reception that night came out to meet us and escort us to the hotel. He then continued to go above and beyond to make us feel welcome when we finally reached the hotel. The other staff were also wonderfully welcoming and helpful. This hotel is one of the best hotels that I have ever stayed in and I have travelled all over the world. We all loved it especially my pet Westie. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Wonderful Chateau stay

Staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. The bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. But the undoubted highlight of our stay was our dinner in Le Botaniste. The food with paired wines was exceptional.

Our best ever hotel experience, without exaggeration. This hotel is worth the trip to Normandy by itself. Our rooms were beautiful, the service was perfect, the restaurants were excellent, and the grounds were beautiful.

Very mediocre service for the price (no towels at the pool even when asked for), no late night reception, could not reach reception over the phone any time of the day Would not expect any of these from a place with a lower rating or lower price

The garden is the highlight of this Chateau, but overall our stay was extremely comfortable! The restaurant and facilities are of very high class, and we would definitely like to come back for longer
