From the 1st communication and following ones prior to arriving with the property manager Romi, he was very helpful, attentive and accommodating. From check in and then at breakfast the staff was incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. From the on-line photo's it promised a distinctive experience in a family-owned B&B and didn't disappoint. It is tastefully decorated with period furniture and accessories and the decorated shared area's were beautiful. Breakfast was delicious and offered a variety of items. Kilronan house is 3 blocks from St. Stevens Green and an easy safe walk and with many pubs in that location to choose from. On line it offers parking, mostly on the street, but if you reserve one and it's available you can park in their alley. We reserved a spot, but before we arrived we choose to check in, then return the car same day. For future reference, it was a good choice and they helped us by calling a taxi for us on check out to get to the airport. Even with what I do write in "didn't like", as that's a tough title our comments are for your reference only to be helpful. We (there were 4 of us, 2 rooms) would very much recommend staying at the Kilronan House for your Dublin stay!
Currently (Sept 26 stay) the outside is being painted and covered in scaffolding, so understand that, but it didn't deflect from our stay, just we didn't expect it. We were asked if stairs were OK for us (in our 60's and 70's). We said yes, and our rooms ended on the 4th floor, 60 stairs! Worked off our food for sure. But Romi did help us carry our luggage up ;-). So if you're not up for a trek, ask for a lower floor room. Our 2 rooms were a bit compact, but clean and we only slept in them and ended our night in the 1st floor sitting area. Again the disadvantage was 60 stairs back up end of night. The house itself is historic and built in the 1800's so smaller rooms should be understood. If you choose to go in the summer, I do believe there is no AC. Our room's window did not open, so ask for a room with a window which can open for ventilation or a fan, it got a bit stuffy. All in all, there was no "didn't like" we highly recommended Kilronan House for anyone looking for a welcoming place to stay in Dublin!"

Breakfast was lovely, with a good selection from the menu, ranging from lighter options such as fruit salad and yogurt to a full Irish breakfast. The facade of the hotel is currently being renovated, so the window at the front of our room was partially obstructed by scaffolding. The room itself was on the smaller side, but as we were only staying for one night and mainly needed somewhere to sleep, it was perfectly fine for us.

Clean, comfortable and in a good location. The staff were friendly and very helpful
Nothing apart from a bit of traffic noise at the front of the property.

The breakfast was very good. Room Was clean. Comfortable bed. Good facilities in room. Parking outside on street,
We were staying in room 9 downstairs. The kitchen staff were right beside our room and woke us from 7 am. As it was a Sunday we had expected a lie in. We feel the rate should have reflected this inconvenience.
