Outstanding !. High standards, attentive staff and perfect location. Exceeded expectations.

This hotel is a real gem !. The proprietor Marian has set very high standards for all aspects of their product. The restaurant service and quality of meals were both outstanding, with wine served in crystal glasses - nice touch. The buffet breakfast and staff were also completely amazing. The rooms are kept immaculate by an efficient housekeeping team who very smartly worked around our occupancy. We did have high expectations, and the hotel and Katwijk surprisingly exceeded all. And then add the perfect location on the seafront and next to an excellent town centre with really lovely local people and great restaurants, shops, bars, cafes etc and the ice cream place (!) - we love Katwijk so much we are booking to come back again.

Nice Retro 70s Hotel

THE LOCATION WAS GREAT! The restaurant was clean and tasty, even the cheap breakfast wasn't bad (still a buffet) but not bad.

Our room was in the back and opened out to a noisy bar. This made open windows unwise and made for a stuffy room. Insist on a room to the side or in front. Avoid the back rooms!

Easy overnight stay for cyclists.

Room was satisfactory for price paid. Breakfast was good with nice view towards sea. Location was very convenient to shopping, the beach and other services. We stored our bikes in the underground garage, which was securely locked.

Nice littel hotel on the Noordzee

The staff at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was excellent, we didn't expect so many choices. Overall a great stay.

The hotel bar was not open when we returned at 0:30 AM.

Great location, bit aged facilities

Directly located across the beach and quite central to the city.

Whilst rooms have some fresh paint it cannot be neglected that the bathrooms need an overhaul.

Location to the beach. Some nice staff.

Rude women on check in , that think no one understands the Dutch language. Definitely not 4 *. Our Room was on street side....noisy most of the night people shouting etc. Property could do with upgrading a bit, showers are dated, no power.

Passable

The wifi was flawless. The staff was extremely pleasant. The location is breathtaking. The restaurant and bar seemed to be buzzing in the evening. The entire place is neatly furnished and beautifully decorated.

The room was very warm, noisy and its location was probably some of the worst in the hotel. The sink had cracks in it and the shower curtain was yellow at the end. The pillow was absurdly bulky and the bed felt itchy. The breakfast options were uninspired and the scrambled eggs felt like rubber. I was given a complicated access to a claustrophobic underground garage around the block where I scraped my car in a narrowed spot on my way out... yet there is a huge underground parking right in front of the hotel that noone bothered to tell me about, where this absolutely wouldn't have happened.

We would definitely come back

Comfy place with good breakfast in a great location. We were touring on bicycles and there was super secure and convenient lockup for them in a covered underground garage.

I only learned (by email from hotel) AFTER making and paying the booking that the restaurant/pizzeria was closed for dinner the days of the week we were there. They are open only thursday-sunday. I found it annoying that the info was not up front on Booking when making the reservation.

Great view to the North sea, nicely decorated room, very friendly staff. We really enjoyed our stay.

Great staff. Good breakfast and excellent location.

Beds were uncomfortable and old. Room was cold at night due to single glazing. Room could do with a serious update (don't like the old carpet which is quite unhygienic). Unclear routing/walking instructions to maneuver safe around the building at corona times. Very noisy.
