The bathroom is sort of clean, but there's quite some mold in the edges and corners. Would be good to replace the paste in the edges.

Good if you like to party, not if you like to sleep before 04:00

The room was actually larger than we expected, and everything was clean. We had read several reviews mentioning issues with the showers, but we didn’t experience any problems at all. The beds were very comfortable, and the staff was friendly.

Unfortunately, none of the five of us got any sleep. While the location is great in terms of being close to the beach and shops, it turns out it’s also right in the nightlife area of Katwijk. You might think that’s not a big deal, but it really was. The music from nearby venues was loud, and even more disturbing were the drunk people yelling in the street well into the night. Of course, that’s not entirely the hotel’s fault. What made it worse was how warm it was in the room. We had to keep the windows open to get some air, but if there had been air conditioning, we could have kept them closed—and probably would’ve slept much better. That was a real downside, especially since we had planned to see Soldaat van Oranje the next day. A good night’s sleep was what we hoped for.

Not welcoming personnel, and overal not professional. Entrance through a pub. Breakfast starting only at 9 am and not earlier.

Spring King Trip

The location for weary cyclist survivors of Koningdag was good, the room was small, basic and suitable. No frills just a bed for the night. Bar nice but everyone including staff knackered so we had a low vibe time in there.

Secure bike parking is 200m away, would have been nice if barman knew to say just go around car barrier and lock up for free then come straight back for a beer. We used tannoy on ticket machine and it seemed like a muddle to get easy info.

The hotel is a bar/restaurant and offers hostel-style rooms in the upper floors. Guest service happens at the bar, there is no particular reception, and the rooms are reached by passing by the kitchen through a corridor, which is used for storing emties and boxes. The bathroom door in the room was unable to shut, no shower curtain, the mirror frame/deck was broken, the walls in the room were just painted plain wall, some tiles on the floor have been loose. I have been in a number of better and cheaper youth hostels before. Most disappointing was, that I paid for breakfast apart from my booking in booking.com and recognized next morning, that it is not served before 9, which was too late for my schedule. There is also no staff available in the hotel before 9 in the morning. My question to get the breakfast money at least for the second breakfast next morning refunded or changed to beers in the evening was rejected.

Once you get over the surprise of the rooms being part of the bar, it was fine.

it was clean and the beds were comfortable. The food at the bar was surprisingly good!

You literally have to walk through the bar, with your luggage, to get to your room. there is no security door between the bar and the rooms.

Great location and place for a beach visit.

The pub/restaurant had really tasty food. We ate dinner there and had breakfast in the morning. Steak was on point and the coffee was also yummy. My kids enjoyed the chocolate sprinkles for their toast and the kaba.

The shower irritated me a bit because of the way the flooring is all one with the tiny sink. I do not like water to wash back on my feet ----needs to go down the drain and not soak up everything. The water pressure and the hose was perfect though. Toilet was separate. The beds were perfect for us with kids. We had a balcony but no TV.

Close to the beach

Very noisy, due laut club in ground floor Kids couldn't sleep till 3 a.m. There was no reception, everything is running over club bar. In washroom was no skin, but outside in the room. No soup or body cream.
