The location, beautiful views nearby.
The steep road up was tarmacked and not an issue to drive up.
The whole place needed a thorough DEEP CLEAN. It needs more than just an overall general clean, as it was so dirty. (See previous reviews).
We were told by the owner to arrive by 3pm. We did arrive quite early 2.30pm, but even if we had arrived for 3pm the cleaner arrived for 3pm too!
In the meantime our little dog picked up a large red capsule tablet, thankfully we got it out of his mouth!
We had all of our belongings unpacked at this stage and declined the cleaner when she arrived at 3pm, but we took the fresh bedding. We didn't want the disturbance at the time, and to be honest there was no way she could have cleaned the place properly in less than a few hours.
No working smoke alarm. (It had been disconnected and put on the side).
Woken every few minutes by something banging outside. We where exhausted and the next morning we decided to leave after only one night.
Conservatory wasn't usable as decrepit. Plus conservatory door still doesn't lock(re previous reviews).
We notified the owner, and she said that neighbours had seen us arrive early. Which didn't matter as even if we had arrived for 3pm the place wouldn't have been ready anyway.
She also said that she would investigate the banging noise outside.
We would not recommend staying at Indigo Lodge. Extremely disappointed in the whole experience.

Privacy and Location perfect, lovely place.
Lots to visit and do in local area.
Could do with a deeper clean as cobwebs in rooms and dirt in places but bed was clean and generally nice.
Hard to find bins for actual cabin but kept rubbish as segregated as possible.

It was lovely and peaceful. There were heaters in every room keeping our stay warm and cosy as the weather wasn’t. It was great space and beautiful location overlooking the sea
The only thing was just the yellow/brownish water, it was of course safe to use to wash up etc but isn’t appealing. The kettle could be changed as well or cleaned as the water was cloudy

I love the location. I love the interior. I love everything I love the heating system and clean washroom.
I can’t lock the door cobwebs everywhere we need more cleaning in the conservatory under the TV and behind the TV heater

The welcome pack, only it was stuffed in microwave had to email for wifi and keyboard code (didn't need keycode chalet left open by cleaners.)
It wasn't ready till 5pm floor work surfaces were still wet, couldn't even wash up in the water it was rank. WiFi was very weak, and TV didn't function properly. I've been to this site a few times, but it's gone well down
hill, never again, to much good accommodation to put up with this.

Set on a remote location it’s perfect for for a retreat to Wales. The road up isn’t that steep, the property has all the basics you need. Great views from the top and friendly neighbours. Great value for money.
There were no toiletries which we sort of expected so take your own shower gel, shampoo, hand wash etc. The electricity meter did not need coins. The mattresses on the bunk bed could do with an upgrade if I have to point out a thing. Having said that it was a wonderful stay.

It was the location I needed to stay to view properties I wanted to view to buy
Cobwebs an spider webs in both bedrooms, even nesting.
Half eaten chocolate bar under bed
Fridge full of mould which cleaner returned to remove but used bleach so was unusable. Owner advised and apologised but offered no compensation for the loss of £80 worth of food.
All kitchen contents were either unusable or sticky.
I’ve travelled in a camper van for the last two yrs and stayed in around 40 holiday let’s, this one is the only one I’ve felt the need to say anything negative about. I actually stayed a few months previously in the property opposite owned by this owner and it was immaculate and couldn’t fault it.

the location is great - good views, easy to get to Aberdovey and Machynlleth.
the quietness was ideal for us.
the garden is now overgrown and the conservatory door is not lockable.
the instruction book needs updating. when we arrived, we read that we needed one pound coins to pay for the electricity meter. we panicked and drove to a Coop to get some coins but discovered when we returned that we didn't need them..
it would help to know ahead of time that the water is not drinkable..

the views are stunning, very peaceful generally.
water quality wasn't great, but I understand this is an ongoing site wide upgrade.
it didn't deter us !

A beautiful location set in the hill side above the estuary. Quiet and quite homely.
the interior of the chalet was good.
The site is generally tired but this is obviously deuteriation over a long period of time and would require a lot of money for an uplift.

Location is unbelievable
Definitely didn't meet my expectations as it was advertised in a bit deceptive way.

The view around the lodge is breathtaking.
The lodge is really cozy and it has everything you need for a relaxing and worry free holiday.
I can't say it was something I did not like.
Maybe the conservatory door that needs fixing but I didn't spent much time in there due to the cold and we were out most of the time.

The setting, the comfort and the area. A very relaxing stay in a lovely little cabin in a quiet beautiful setting. Friendly neighbours and a great base to go exploring the rich surroundings.

Very happy with the location, clean and quiet place to spend holidays, will definitely book again

Apart from the views, very little
The track wasn't just a bit 'rough', it was rain-filled pot-holes. Not a drop of water was left, as promised, not even a match to light the gas hob with, the toilet seat was broken, wardrobe full of cleaning clutter, heated towel rail didn't work, nothing to dry wet clothes on, only half a toilet roll, and generally a bit grubby. Grounds unkempt, dangerous paving slab on steps came close to causing nasty stumble. After a long drive from NW Scotland, not at all what was expected. Rather poor by current standards. By far the worst of five rental properties on this trip.

Tarmac road helped the steep incline up to the property.
Great location and view.
Kitchenette was fully equipped
Incorrectly listed as having 4 beds available however didn't have a sofa bed as advertised.
No outdoor lighting from parking space to door

Beautiful location! We needed something quiet where we could switch off completely in between Christmas and New Year's and this was perfect!
Even when the weather wasn't great we still had lots of games to play provided in the lodge and the views were incredible.
Nothing!! A lot of reviews talk about the road but it must have been recently resurfaced because it was totally fine for us!

road works on access roads stopped me from leaving 3 days in a row pointless visit
6.0 / 10.0
very quiet and peaceful location and close to aberdyfi.
heaters were a help to take the chill off
the cupboard that mugs and glasses were in had a bag of cat biscuits in there so the items had to be washed before use as they smelled.
the mugs weren’t that clean either so I think the last guest hasn’t washed up very well.
the conservatory couldn’t done with a clean. moss growing on the inside.
the road is definitely tricky but this was explained prior to booking

excellent location so quiet and piece full
the dripping on the post box outside kept me awake all night and outside door doesn’t close

location superb
double bedroom + kitchen cupboards + lean to smelt fusty, damp + mouldy. lean to door broken so it kept banging in the wind. lounge rugs very old + faded. kitchen bowl dirty. clean shower room.

peaceful location, well equipped cabin with WiFi and lots of books and games.
The road to the cabin is really awful, although we were made aware of this in advance and have a 4x4 so manageable for us
5.0 / 10.0
Location was nice and quiet
Access was awful, lodge could have done with some updating and the furniture re arranging. The crocks were also dirty which we re washed anyway. Also as the water was no drinkable more should be provided as we run out our drinking water after the first day
5.0 / 10.0
Good wifi and tv. Good selection of books. Well equipped kitchen. Lovely view
Old lipstick on bedroom floor. Road to lodge far worse than expected so we left a day earlier to save wear on car. Lodge smelt very strongly of curry especially on arrival and when we had been out all day. Comfortable apart from that. Door lock very difficult.
