Very disappointing
We had no communication about the lockbox, and were unable to get into the property. We had our checking time confirmed by booking.com butstill had no checkin instructions so were unable to get into the property. Eventually a neighbour gave us a phone number of someone to call. Also the map directions were to a completely different property with the same name. I will never use booking.com again. Also kitchen facilities very inadequate for self catering. Only one wooden chopping board for raw meat and bread board so completely unhygienic. No kitchen scissors or other necessary items to cook. Only 1 pan and 1 frying pan. No dishes to cook things in oven. No instructions how to switch on bedroom heaters which were ancient and dirty. Despite contacting the owner they have still not replied

Lovely cottage for a couple or small family holiday
We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. All of the amenities worked. There is a little fridge-freezer which was enough to store food supplies for 2-3 days but be mindful it is very small and doesn't cool very strongly so I wouldn't bring a huge amount of food. There are supermarkets in Tywyn and Machynlleth which are both about 15 min drive. The cooker, microwave and the oven all worked fine. There is an underfloor heating in the kitchen and bathroom and good heaters in all other rooms as well as a fire place in the living room so it was nice and cozy inside despite the weather. The instructions for everything are in the cottage as well as the owner is easy to contact by phone or WhatsApp. Apologies as I believe we forgot to switch off the underfloor heating and I accidentally took the shower gel from the bathroom without realising!
There were only a couple of negatives. One is that the cottage is situated near a busy and quite a dangerous road with no walking paths nearby. In fact we have witnessed a car crash right outside the property driveway. It is not safe to walk there and even getting out of the driveway is very tricky and feels quite dangerous. We almost had accident ourselves once. Not sure if much can be done about this by the owner though but just a bit of warning for other travellers. The second negative is that the taps are electric and offer only either cold or potentially very hot water so it is easy to get burnt and not much scope to regulate the temperature. Additionally, the kitchen tap is situated in a very awkward place and is very short which makes it difficult to access and to wash the dishes. More water seems to be going outside than inside the sink! Other than that there really wasn't much to complain about, we had a lovely time staying there!

Peaceful and comfortable cottage with amazing views but have to rely on car with tricky drive access
- Stunning views of the estuary from all rooms (saw an Osprey flying over estuary) - Convenient for short drive to Aberdovey which is an excellent place - beach and town - Bedrooms, living room and dining room all very good - Peaceful and quiet
- Not being able to walk from property due to adjacent A road - Tricky access to and from the property's drive from the A road - Some updating needed in kitchen and bathroom - Patio and garden furniture needs improving

Lovely quirky cottage with a lovely vibe! A very peaceful and relaxing stay!
Superb views across the Estuary. Quiet location apart from the road which wasn't a problem for us at all. Exiting from the property on to the road was a little tricky but a mirror was located opposite and it was manageable with care.
The property was located 1ml from Aberdovey which was walkable but not safe (too many bends in the road) as there are no footpaths and the road gets busy. It would have been nice to walk into Aberdovey but there is plenty of parking and the owners gave us a pass for free parking. so no problem at all.

We really liked the wood burner as it was very useful during our February stay.

Exceptional
We loved the location and convenience of the cottage. Attention to detail and comfort. A handyman at the end of a phone to solve a small problem. The log fire and abundance of fuel. Thank you for an uncluttered and well equipped cottage.

Best views of the estuary
Beautiful views. Very pretty cottage and close to Aberdyfi.
In Covid times very difficult to comment as I know some soft furnishings were removed but the settees were quite uncomfortable.

We had liked the cottage and would recommend it to anyone wanting a peaceful break in a lovely spot.
A quaint little cottage with lovely views
Stairs are quite steep for anybody with mobility issues. Downstairs bathroom was a bit awkward.
