Just okay for a sleepover when visiting Venice.

Cozy apartment, located on the ground floor. For a few nights it is just right, for a longer stay would probably miss the terrace or the view outside. After all, the only reason to visit Mestre is to stay overnight when visiting Venice, with the advantage that the number 2 bus that goes to Piazale Roma stops right in front of the house.

As it was described in the messages (you will receive a lot of them from the owner), we obtained the keys from the lock box next to the gate. However the remote control for the automatic gate to get our to the parking lot was not there. You need first take out the keys, open the appartment where the remote is residing on the dining table and go back on the street and open the gate. Which means you block both the pedestrian sidewalk and the bike lane for long minutes because there is no othe place where to pull over your car. this could have been thought out better. Another disadvantage of the location of the apartment is that it is opposite the park, which is full of immigrants and homeless people sleeping on benches and drunk Italians. It's not a place where you feel completely comfortable, especially if you're travelling with kids.

Super nice host, perfect location, comfortable beds as well as pet & family friendly!

The Host was super friendly and gave us lots of good tips. We had to wait for the keys and the directions in a small parking spot which was nice and not too stressful. The location of the house is perfect and it has a private parking space in the courtyard! You can easily reach in a couple of minutes by foot Mestre's centre, a supermarket and restaurants. We came with a dog, and there is a really nice park just across the street where dogs are allowed! The House itself is very cosy and well designed, you have everything you need for cooking, the beds are comfortable, the bathrooms modern and clean. Getting to Venice was extremely easy and fast by bus. We stayed for three nights with two kids and one dog and saw Mestre, Venice and Burano - all by bus, ship and foot. We had a really good time, thank you for everything!

The only thing is that the fan in one of the bathrooms was a bit too loud, and there were still mosquitos in November. Other than that everything was perfect!

The host was very nice and gave a lot of additional information and tips on Venice. She replied within minutes and answered all our questions. The apartment is very comfortable like we were at home. The interior and equipment are practical and contain everything you might possibly need. During our stay we did not want to use our car, so we used public transport. A bus stop is 3 min away and 20 min from Piazzale Roma, from where you can take the water buses. There are few good restaurants near the apartment in Mestre center. Across the apartment is a small park where you can take your dog out.

Pleasant stay for good price. I recommend!

The hosts were very welcoming. They met us in the Mestres center and took us home by car. It was very unexpected and kind. The apartment has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a living room + kitchen. Very clean and tidy everywhere. Coffee, tea, sugar, salt and all kitchen utensils (as well as refrigerator, kettle, stove) were available.We were greeted with grapes and cookies.The hosts gave us maps and told us what to see and how to get to Venice. It's very easy - there is bus #2 stop a few meters from the house, which take you to Mestre Train Station and Venice (20 min) as well. There are a supermarket, shops, cafes and restaurants in the neighbourhood. Many thanks again to the hosts for the warm welcome. It was a wonderful stay.

One recommendation - it would be good to have a sharp cooking knife in the kitchen.

Amazing

Everything was perfect, the apartment was very clean and modern and all shops were so close to us. it took's only 12 minutes to venice by bus and 30 minutes to the beach by car. The owners were just amazing and so nice to us.. We will come every summer for sure 😍😍

Soggiorno da rivedere

La casa era situata in una buona posizione: vicino alla fermata dell’autobus e dei servizi principali.

La pulizia della casa non era un granché e l’impossibilità di accendere i due climatizzatori ( visto il freddo) e la piastra per riscaldare il latte ai bambini perché scattava la corrente è stato , per noi, un disagio ( costringendo ad uscire più volte fuori casa perché la proprietaria non era a Venezia)Poi il divano letto non si poteva chiudere (come da regole della casa) è un’altra cosa inaccettabile perché costringe gli ospiti a non potersi godere la tv sul divano ma a sedersi sulla sedia, oltre a ridurre di molto lo spazio visto che eravamo in 7!!! La semplice richiesta di un cuscino in più ha messo in crisi la proprietaria…….completa il disservizio le diverse indicazioni da seguire( per spazzatura….. Enel…..etc etc) sono scritte solo in inglese che seppur è senza ombra di dubbio una lingua importante ricordo che siamo pur sempre in Italia…..
