About this apartment rental

With the best views on the island, this 2-bedroom top-floor condo is located in the Pali Ke Kua resort, which lies on a bluff facing the ocean and the landmark north shore mountain, Bali Hai. Watch gorgeous ocean sunsets from your private lanai and grill up fresh ahi ahi on the lanai's electric grill. In the winter, even catch sight of whales! Take a private, paved path right in front of the condo down to the secluded Hideaways Beach for some of the best snorkeling on the island. Snorkel with turtles, explore tide pools, surf, or sunbathe on Hideaways’ white sandy beach.

Two master suites provide a king and queen bed, full bathrooms, and A/C units in each, a rarity on the island. The living room couch pulls out into a queen bed that sleeps an additional 2 people. The living room and upstairs bedroom both have flat screen TVs and there is high-speed wifi throughout the condo. Beach gear is also provided, including boogie boards, masks, snorkels, beach chairs, umbrellas, ice chest, and beach towels. Enjoy the Pali Ke Kua resort pool, hot tub, and restaurant, Hideaways Pizza Pub.

The condo is located next to the Makai golf course and a short couple minutes from Princeville Center with shopping and restaurants. Ten minutes down the road is the beautiful Hawaiian town of Hanalei, with fantastic shopping, restaurants, and bars and two miles of white sandy beach in Hanalei Bay where you can swim, surf, and boogie board, all while enjoying stunning mountain and waterfall views. Paddle board or kayak down the Hanalei river or hike in the Hanalei National Wildlife Refuge. Ten minutes in the opposite direction is the Kilauea lighthouse and wildlife refuge.

Some things to be aware of: Please take care to respect our neighbors and be aware that there are strict quiet hours between 10pm and 8am. The condo has louvered windows, which may allow noise to carry. Please also be aware that living in a beautiful tropical location surrounded by nature brings with it insects (primarily mosquitos, cockroaches, & centipedes). While the condo is sprayed regularly, you may encounter such insects. Always ensure that screens and doors remain closed.

Kelly was so great to work with. She answered all of our questions. The place was beautiful and the bedrooms got pretty cool at night. As long as you kept the front door and balcony door open, there was a nice breeze through the condo. The pool was nice and Hideaway pizza was fantastic although pretty pricey. I dont recommend walking down to the beach unless you're in excellent shape. I about died coming back up the hill. Ha!

Excellent location and view. Enjoyed walking to the neighborhood beaches especially the condo's private trail to the beach (steep but doable), which was quiet and has dramatic views of the waves, rocks, and cliffs. Also walkable (or very quick drive) to the 1 Hanelei Bay hotel for a fancy cocktail. Condo could use some updates as a few things are a bit worn, but overall it was comfortable and a good place to spend time on the North Shore.

We have stayed in Pali Ke Kua twice previously. This was our first time in Kelly’s Condo. Everything was as described. Clean, functioning amenities, and a great view of the North shore. If we need a two bedroom in the future we would book this condo again.

The condo’s location is wonderful with gorgeous views of the Nāpali coastline. The condo had everything we needed. The condo looked more dated than the pictures online show. I’m sure the pictures were from years ago when everything was new. The air conditioning is only in the two bedrooms. They are portable air conditioners. So they are very loud. There isn’t a telescope like the pictures show either. Overall a decent place, but probably would choose something else next time we visit.

The property was fantastic. We loved it. Tiny little negative, there is a stain on the carpet of the lower bedroom and the 2 stools under the kitchen counter are so uncomfortable use. Again,, the condo is fantastic!

This place was perfect. Close close walk down to the beach. Watched the sunset by walking down to the golf course each night. Walked to queens bath. Food and activities just 8 min drive away. I was nervous about the portable AC units but they worked great and kept the room temperature comfortable all night.

The unit was just what we needed- well-stocked, clean, spacious enough for 4 adults and 2 kids, and a beautiful location. The view was amazing and every morning and evening we walked down to the beach for snorkeling and to watch the sunset. We usually had the beach to ourselves. It should be noted that the walk down to the beach is very steep but on a paved walkway. It took us 5-6 minutes to walk back up. We didn’t have any issue with the little hike down and up but elderly or people with limited mobility might. We would 100% stay here again. It was beyond peaceful and beautiful. The pool area was also beautiful and my kids loved ending their day at the pool. The area is the prettiest part of the island and we are so glad we chose to stay in Princeville.

Great location in princeville with a beautiful view! Property was clean and well kept. They gave us plenty of supplies for trash, cleaning, etc. beach supplies were a plus as well. Unless you’re ready for a really steep hike we’d recommend driving to another beach other than the one directly behind the property. The only thing we would like to see improved are the pillows and there was a bit of an odor in the bedroom upstairs if you’re sensitive to smells.

We had a wonderful time at this home in Princeville! We loved the quiet complex, access to the beach, pool, hot tub, walking paths and ocean views. The layout was also awesome with plenty of space to spread out. The linens and pillows are the only upgrades I would suggest, they seemed a little worn.

This property was beautiful, well maintained & clean. My guest & I both loved the 2 master suites. The views from the lanai we’re stunning! My only concern would be having to use stairs to get to the main level as well as the upper level. This property worked fine for us but might not be the best for people with disability. I would certainly consider this property for a future trip. The host was very thoughtful & gracious!

The view from the balcony is stunning for morning breakfasts and evening sunsets. Thank goodness for the A/C bedrooms though it took a while to cool down the living area where the four of us could gather. Cocktails definitely helped!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this condo! The views are magnificent from the lanai, and we enjoyed watching surfers pretty much every day. The condo is very comfortable and has absolutely everything you might need. Beds are comfy and the air conditioning in the bedrooms was very much appreciated. The whole place feels light and airy and has a definite island vibe. The location is convenient, and the beach is gorgeous. We were greeted with a wonderful welcome surprise which was so appreciated after our long trip. We loved this place and would recommend it to anyone looking to stay on the North Shore of the island!

Our family of 5 had a fantastic stay in this condo! It was spacious, had every amenity we could possibly need (including snorkel masks, beach chairs and umbrella, cooler, and my kids favorite—boogie boards). It was perfectly located on the north shore and easy to get in and out of, and the sunset views off the lanai could not be beat. The walk down to hideaways beach was steep but manageable even for our youngest (6 years old) and well worth it for its natural beauty. We can’t wait to come back and visit Kauai again and hope to stay in the same condo!

It was our first time in Kauai and I feel like I won the lottery with this condo. I was able to walk to Queens Bath before 7am one morning, and snorkeled at Hideaway beach just a short walk from the condo. We watched the sunset every night from the balcony. What a beautiful place to stay!

The property was as described. You can watch the sun set from the room and the balcony. Be aware that the trail down to the beach is super steep (yes, it is mentioned in the listing). There are other beach access points nearby -- but you are on a cliff overlooking the ocean, so beach access is stairs at a minimum, unless you drive to Hanalei. You are close to Hanalei, but just outside the bustle of the town. The washer/dryer were the best of our trip. My daughter enjoyed the morning runs along the golf course. Would definitely come again, or recommend to a friend.

This condo is perfectly located with an amazing view of Hanalei Bay, close proximity to beach access (via a steep, paved trail), decent pizza place right across the street, and an easy drive into Hanalei. We had a great stay and would highly recommend this condo.

This beautiful condo was set up for comfort and ease to really enjoy our 3 weeks on the island. Kelly was so very helpful and easy to communicate with. We loved the unique decorative touches and the view is magnificent! We also loved the location and vibe of the complex. We are fans of Hideaways Pizza too so that was a bonus! We only had a few days on Kauai, but the location was perfect. A great walk down to the beach, easy to access to Hanalei and close parking. The unit is a little dated, but the kitchen fully stocked and the upstairs bed was very comfortable. We did use the ACs in both bedrooms, which was more than enough to stay cool in August. Quiet location with beautiful lanai for the sunset! A bit of an issue with the cleaning not being done until 8pm on the day we were checking in, which made it hard with kids needing to sleep after a long day of travel.

I can’t say enough about this property. It was clean, pretty and well equipped. The view is unbeatable. We enjoyed “happy hour” on the balcony while watching the sunset every evening. The location was great and allowed us to explore Kauai’s North Shore, our preferred part of the island. Would definitely stay here again.

We made a last minute reservation here the night of our 2nd COVID vaccination and could not be happier with how things turned out. The views alone make this condo a winner - absolutely amazing sunsets every night. Pali Ke Kua is an older but very nice and quiet complex. The condo itself is typical of older Hawaiian coastal rental condos and is a bit rundown and could use some renovation, but it served our needs perfectly. It has all of the necessities and is well appointed. The condo does get warm in the afternoon (especially upstairs) but opening the louvered windows allows it to be cooled by the trade winds enough to be comfortable to sleep at night. We found that we did not need to use the AC units in the bedrooms but it was nice knowing they would be an option. Snorkeling at the private beach was very good and there were several sea turtles hanging out in that area. Bottom line: we highly recommend this condo and would stay here again.

The Condo has the view of a lifetime, was well equipped, clean and comfortable. The pool in the complex is nice. The Pizza pub is right across the street and came in handy. Hideaway beach at the bottom of the trail leading down the hill in front of the condo is beautiful and very private. The Princeville area is green and plush. The town of Hanalei 2 miles down the road is cute with plenty of shops and restaurants to enjoy. All in all we fell in love with the area and the condo. Were already planning to go back.

We enjoyed the proximity to the beach and the property is beautiful! The Princeville area is stunning. The condo was comfortable and well stocked. My only criticism is that the bedspreads needed to be cleaned. Other than that, we loved it!
