About this apartment rental
This spacious top floor condo in the upscale Puu Poa complex on the north shore of beautiful Kauai is located directly next door to the Princeville One Hotel. You'll love the newly renovated oceanfront pool! (IMPORTANT NOTE: The Puu Poa swimming pool will be closed Sept 6 - Oct 1 of 2026 for renovation.) Also available onsite are tennis courts, pickleball court, and a path to Hideaways Beach. (Note that this beach path is not for the faint of heart. It's steep and often muddy. We recommend the brief stroll next door to the beach in front of the One Hotel. Easy!) This Kauai vacation rental is the perfect place to find your own paradise.
At Puu Poa 405 you'll find a very large oceanfront lanai, furnished with a shaded dining set and your own personal barbecue grill. The views are unobstructed, panoramic, and oceanfront. The master bedroom opens onto a second sleeping or lounging area with a bank of windows that open to bring the ocean and the sunshine straight inside, perfect for viewing migrating whales, dolphins at play, or passing ships. For privacy, the sunroom may be closed off from the bedroom with a set of sliding louver if you've got children using the queen sleeper sofa in the atrium You'll love the view from the king bed in the very spacious master can enjoy the view without even having to get up. The adjacent master bathroom is very large and elegantly remodeled, with a generously sized walk-in shower and jetted tub. The guest bedroom is furnished with a queen bed. Inside the guest bathroom you will also find a washer and dryer.
The living room is comfortably furnished with a large sectional sofa, 55” flat screen TV, and there's even a telescope for close-up whale spotting or watching the surfers. Directly behind the living room, with equally dramatic oceanfront views thanks to the open floor plan, is a fully equipped kitchen with granite counter tops, a cook top counter island, electric oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, cookware and dishes, blender, coffee maker, and toaster.
2026 Travel Advisory: The Puu Poa complex will be undergoing exterior renovations throughout 2026, scheduled to complete in mid-October. Occasional noise is possible. From July through October, painting will be taking place on the ocean-facing side of the complex which may impact privacy, and guests should expect some noise from painters and their equipment.
As with most homes on Kauai, this vacation rental is NOT air conditioned.
Although this home has internet, the speed and reliability cannot be guaranteed due to the remote location and the service being provided by a third-party.
Note: host requires all guests, whether they book directly or via a third party website, to complete a rental agreement within 3 days of booking.

Really great condo on the trail to Hidden Beach, the beach was closed during our stay but we went down the 1 Hotel Beach. Rented a car and went to all the other beaches. I could live in this condo. It is amazing. Great little pool after a long beach day. We were here 5 days and it was perfect.

Pictures don’t do justice. This is outstanding place and very nicely decorated. Nothing in the area comes close to this property. Kudos to the owner for keeping this elegant home

This is a spacious, well equipped condo in an excellent location! We thoroughly enjoyed our time spent here and were sad to leave. We spent time relaxing on the spacious lanai watching the ocean. Amazing views from the balcony and you can even see the ocean from the master BR. It’s one of the largest 2 BR condos we have seen, and it had all the kitchen gadgets you could want! They even left shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, and a starter supply of coffee and laundry detergent which was so nice! It also had a nice assortment of books, games, and some puzzles. We didn’t use them but there were beach chairs and snorkel gear, as well as plenty of beach towels. The path to Hideaway Beach (our favorite) is adjacent, and Pu’u Poa Beach is a short walk away. We found the decor & furnishings very appealing, & beds were nice & comfy. We were a little nervous about lack of AC in May, but this condo has so many windows & fans, and SUCH an amazing cross breeze that it wasn’t an issue! In fact, I was chilly some nights! LOL We look forward to a return visit!

Furniture very dated. Toilet in master bath runs frequently due to maintenance issue. Door on clothes cabinet needs track to be fixed. They had windows washers clean windows but no notice ruined make-up that was on bathroom sink.
