Disappointed

We came back because of proximity to INSA Lyon.

We were greeted by the same smell of cigarette smoke despite having shared with the hosts and being assured it would be looked into. This time we knew there would be no washing machine or dishwashing tablets but we hoped to make it work Sadly the bed in one of the rooms had a broken leg. We tried to get in touch with the host about it and I wondered at some point if I was speaking to two different people. One was somewhat responsive, asking for photos and sharing a WhatsApp line where we could be in touch. Another kept sending automated messages and behaving as if we didn't communicate anything at all... Long story short, we didn't get much sleep that night - we got up exhausted, and checked out because a bed is a basic requirement for accommodation. There was lots of requests for the same photos multiple times - email, WhatsApp, blah. Nothing happened. Eventually someone did acknowledge we deserved a refund since we had had to find alternative accomodation but to dat nothing has come through. No apology. No refund. Nothing. I was very disappointed.

Sadly very smoky and dusty

For what we needed - access to INSA Lyon - the location was great. Métro and Tram were both close by. Decent places to eat in the neighborhood and supermarket and pharmacy close by.

We walked in to the overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke - it almost felt as if someone smoked and walked out right before we walked in. We had to leave the windows open all night and part of the next day before it wasn't so oppressive. One of the reasons we booked an apartment was to be able to do laundry - we were surprised to find the washing machine existed but was broken and the dryer had clouds of dust in it. We ended up having to find a laundromat. There were no dishwashing tablets so we ended up having to get some. And it was hot, but the fan was covered in dust. We literally had to do a deep clean on it before we could use it. It's a nice space but somehow the cleaners or the maintenance team or both are not too keen in getting it to the level it could be.

no need to wait for anyone to let you in. Could get an early check in which really helped.

the apartment had no number on it so it was a 'match the key to the kind of lock' mystery. Was not difficult.

Disappointing

The host was very difficult to contact. The WiFi code was incorrectly listed, so we didn't have Internet for the first day, as Nicolas wasn't contactable on the Sunday when we arrived. The property also states there is a bath, however there is no plug, so you cannot use it. Again we contacted Nicolas with no reply. We weren't able to bathe our daughter. Don't list something if it doesn't work!

It allowed the two of us to spend quality time with our children.

Location was the determining plus factor.

Seating was very low down. There were no cleaning cloths. One of the cooker hobs did not work. It was an old apartment block, not new. In the stairways and hall was a permeating stink. There was no lift: 42 stairs each time. No bedding for the sofa bed was supplied despite request. Insufficient towels for 4 people.

There was no tool (squeegee) for cleaning the shower glass door, so you see the limescale on the glass.

Niente, la casa poteva essere cari a ma era sporchissima e non erano state fatte le pulizie e non siamo riusciti a contattare nessuno, continuava a risponderci un'intelligenza artificiale per cui siamo stati costretti ad andare via e cercare un altra sistemazione

Casa sporchissima probabilmente non la pulivano da tempo, letti non cambiati, bagno rotto, polvere ovunque, sigarette in cucina mezze fumate, bicchieri sporchi con succhi dentro, letto con fazzoletto sporco, frigo con liquido maleodorante. La luce non funzionava. Mai capitata unadisavventura simile. Borsa con parte delle lenzuola da cambiare e teli bagno appoggiato sulla porta d'ingresso. Tutto documentato con foto, comunicato a booking e al riferimento mail e telefono ma senza alcuna risposta. Continua a rispondere una AI chiedendo i come è andato il soggiorno.
